The Pegulas are losing money with there hockey team, there changing course, businesses do that. I doubt there hurting for money that bad, they just dished out over a hundred million in football contracts. If you ran a business losing money you would do the same thing, maybe not to this extent. It sucks because we want good sports teams, but why get so butt hurt over what they did, there's other things in life to worry more about.

Good post.

The guy sounds like another Adams. Guy who worked his way up and through different titles he had no previous experience performing, yet did everything well.


I see nothing wrong with hiring intelligent and adaptable people. Cause we've done so (frank)ing well with whatever the (frank) we've been doing for the past 10 years.

Now you've got your top analytics guy being the assistant director of scouting, directly tying analytics to the kids you're about to add to the org. Holy (frank), what a concept.

Don't know why people are taking this so hard, kid sounds like he worked his Ass of to learn as much as he could in different aspects of Hockey, which to me sounds like a good thing.

Unfortunately that is there track record, hopefully they get it right this time. But funny how people take it so personally.

He said having an inexperienced hockey department will get taken advantage of by other GMs.

While I wholeheartedly agree with you, at the very least this is a different approach. I won't guarantee it works, but it's at the very least refreshing and at the same time, progressing to and beyond league trends.

Yes that could happen, we will have to wait and see. See how Adams handles that, but he has been around the game for a long time. And he does have exteammates and Friends in some higher rolls with more experience to hopefully ask ?.

Of course they will. Adams absolutely can't be done bringing in personnel. He's heavily suggested he won't be the only guy at the top.

OK, well like I said, he's sure as poop not Gaustad. Goose had decent offensive numbers and was an above average face off guy. Neither of those things describe Larry

Larsson is better than Gaustad. Gaustad was actually bad for a lot of his career.

Larsson was above replacement in a third line role, on a bad team.

He’s actually kinda good.

You don't give a two way contract to a guy you're certain will play in the NHL full time. Clearly the fans thought higher of him than the previous hockey ops. I don't blame Pilut for a second taking the money. He proved he can be a bottom pairing Dman here. Yet the managers were stubborn. The agent clearly brought the possibility of the KHL to the table and they ignored it. Now they lost an asset for an undermined amount of time. Because they were stubborn. Believing that Kerry and Tim stood in the way of a one way contract is far fetched at best.

Lazar brought a great element to this team. I'm also hesitant to load up on offensively inept players. There's a place for a couple, not 6+

I've often pondered the thought, as you'll see above.

I want to believe it's more because people want to complain about how cheap our owners are, but what it's actually shaping up to be is trimming the negative value. Our owners deserve to be bashed, no doubt, but this staff needs to be rebuilt. Also, no doubt.
