Speaking of the bold, I have a good buddy from Pittsburgh whose response to the lottery results was, "Yeah I'm hoping the Pens lose to the Canadiens, coronavirus cancels the tournament in the real first round, we get the top pick, win/win."

I am wondering what happens if the qualifying round doesn't even happen. Do they just revert to points percentage to determine the teams teams eligible for the second lottery? I hope they thought that far ahead.

Honestly, idk. Holtz has a nasty shot, at one point Raymond was fighting for the top spot, now he fell back as low as 8 in some mocks. Byfield realistically seems like the most NHL ready prospect. This is one of those years GMs might look foolish for picking someone at 2, when someone at 8 or 9 has a much better career.

Sort of like 2014, except its not based on lack of talent.
