No team worth a damn would tank a postseason series for a chance to win a 2nd lottery. Also, even a draft pick that turns out to be a home run as an individual player is zero guarantee of substantially greater team success in the long run.

So the GM’s will tell the coaches to tell the player’s, “Thanks for busting your tails this season and coming back during the pandemic. But we decided to lose this series so that we have a 12% chance to win a lottery”. PS, don’t tell anybody.”
Great way to run a franchise.
