OK I'm making ribs tonight. Here's what I've got so far as a loose recipe. It's the first time I've tried it.
Marinaded for 16 hours in my favourite Rye.
Poured juices into pot on stove. Cut ribs into appropriate lengths. 1/4 inch slits between the bone at both sides. Into pot.
Added 1/4 cup ish each of of Apple Cider and Malty Beer, and another pinch of Rye into the pot over medium/low heat.
Added some fresh garlic clove from my garden. A mix of spices, and a tablespoon of honey from a colony of bees I kept a few years ago. Brought to rolling boil, reduced heat to low rolling boil for 30 minutes, flipping the ribs once.
Now, I've reduced heat to low and will wait for a couple of hours. Slow cooking. In an hour I'll start my cooking fire, Alder. I suppose it's time to hit the woodpile.
Go Team E!!!! - Load Management
How was that?
I looked into it but i'm too urban. Wouldn't mind more bees around though.
Recipe looks good. |

I predict facewashing penalties will rise, until they stop doing it. |

I think playoff experience coming from a season like this might be overrated. There are no fans which a a large part of the playoff experience and home ice advantage. It's really about who's in better shape to play the first couple of rounds. - golfingsince
Probably an unpopular take but I agree. If they get started for this thingy, it will be a new season and as you pointed out, no fans. |

There's actually going to be less reporters in your face, and if you can stay away from reading poop online then there's really only internal pressure. |

Getting the first overall pick isn’t as important as drafting well in every round, however, getting access to a top five pick is invaluable to a franchise especially when you’re building a core of players. - Pacificgem
Drafting well in every round is unrealistic. Top 5 picks are nice but it will always come down to the who not the number. My 2 bits. |

For me, the first couple of rounds are a total crapshoot. After that, skill and coaching will play a large factor as will of course goaltending. It's a no lose situation, unless you just win the play in and maybe another round.
As for the play-in, if you can't win that can you even call yourself a playoff team? I'd say no unless you've been there the season before. This Lafreniere kid has been on the radar for a long time. Similar to a couple of kids from Cole Harbour.
Even a 12.5% chance at someone with the potential to be that good is great! The Canucks deserve some love from the hockey gods for Bonnie. |

I didnt want to see exceptions here in Canada for the playoffs but I still don't understand how the players who test negative and operate in a bubble is a threat to transmit to the rest of us when there is going to be no spectators in the arenas. Every day commercial traffic is crossing the border and all they are doing is looking for a high temperature before letting them cross from the worst country for covid to Canada. That should concern people more. - boonerbuck
Bonnie is getting a bit out of control. No reason we shouldn’t be a hub City imo. That said, I don’t even care if hockey comes back this year. Hockey and summer shouldn’t be a thing |

Mason bees! They are awesome and really easy to take care of. I have two bee “houses” and they fill every year. Amazing pollinators, don’t sting, but don’t produce honey. |

Haven’t you heard, the NHL is going to hire her...
Also, I don’t think she’s out of hand. She posed a valuable question “what happens if an athlete or staff member tests positive”? Thereby bursting the “bubble”. The NHL’s answer...Business as usual.
I’d like to formally request the term “bubble” be added to the list of words and frases that are ban worthy, like 200’ game and retooling while trying to compete. |

Good find, that is an interesting chart but very clearly shows that the NHL is accomplishing what they wanted.
People will key in on a number of teams getting huge swings (2020 shouldn't be included as it is an anomaly) like PHI but the system works. Those really bad teams at the bottom haven't lost that much despite being more likely to lose spots every year.
I hope they stick with this format and we will see in 5 more years truly how effective it is at preventing teams from tanking.

If the Canucks win it, the writing is on the wall for BB and a couple others. Can't have three potential 10 mil contracts in a few years without making sacrifices.
The question would be, if the Canucks win it, would you trade that pick for a kings ransom? Filling multiple holes on this roster to compete in the next couple years, versus cap casualties in 3. |

Power through like Florida? Power through like Arizona? Power through like LA? So many choices

I don’t see Brock getting 10m. If he earns it then a nice problem to have & a big asset for trading. I’d keep Alexis.
