If the Canucks win it, the writing is on the wall for BB and a couple others. Can't have three potential 10 mil contracts in a few years without making sacrifices.
The question would be, if the Canucks win it, would you trade that pick for a kings ransom? Filling multiple holes on this roster to compete in the next couple years, versus cap casualties in 3. - NewYorkNuck
Lafreniere plays left side Brock right side. Regardless though Canucks right side is TT Brock Jake (both sides) Hoglander Podkolzin Leivo (Both) MacEwen Loui (both) and Sutter. Too many. |

I don’t see Brock getting 10m. If he earns it then a nice problem to have & a big asset for trading. I’d keep Alexis. - Nighthawk

Power through like Florida? Power through like Arizona? Power through like LA? So many choices
This is also a really good resource/graphic map of the 3 day trend per state: https://coronavirus.jhu.e.../data/new-cases-50-states - NewYorkNuck
People in BC, and on Vancouver Island especially, don’t really get it. We’re in a bubble out here while the rest of the world is imploding. From 9million to 10 million cases took less than 6 days.
My wife told me this morning that the EU is planning to reopen international travel but that the US will likely remain on the no fly list. That will probably make Trump furious. |

Not talking about Brock.
You'd eventually have Petey (11 mil?), QH (8 mil?), and then AL (11 mil?). That's a lot to tie up in three players. |

If the Canucks actually won it – and I don't think they will, they'll beat Mini – there would have to be a lot of moves. I don't think you'd see TT re-signed, BB would be gone in a year or two for D, and then I could see them packaging a pick to get rid of Loui. They'd make some big moves to try and win with EP, QH, and AL all in their youth. |

I’ve got us in 4 over Minny. If we lost & we lucked out on Lafreniere yes a lot moves would come. Again that’s a nice problem & a near certainty TT walks. |

I don't think Benning traded all that he did to acquire Toffoli to let him walk after a few games. Benning has been building for now and for the future with the core. The regulars can insult him all they want but Canucks are close.
I think it is going to come down to a decision this year between who is traded Brock or Jake. I think they will both be auditioning in this playoff this year.
I am not counting on getting Lafreniere at all , but they could still draft a good top 15 player this year and add to the prospects. I think a healthy Canucks team is going to win at least oneround and maybe more. |

If TT resigned then for sure. Given the cap at least 1 player to be traded up to maybe 3. |

This offseason is shaping up to easily be JB’s hardest to navigate. Domino’s time. |

Priority #1 offloading cap obviously. Hockey trades the least appealing option so getting picks seems the best option. How or who will be very interesting to see. Giving picks will most likely happen on some moves. |

I'm just say if the Canucks won the Lafreniere draw, they would let TT walk, unless he was willing to sign a 1-2 year deal. You couldn't let the TT contract overlap with Lafreniere's contract coming out of his ELC. That'd just be too much money tied up with a flat cap.
I think people would forget about the TT trade if they got Lafreniere. Shiny new first overall toy.
However, I don't think this will even happen, but it's something to actually discuss which is rare nowadays. |

You can't fit 9 forwards into a 4 forward position. Toffoli is 28 and Canucks may want to look at locking him up 4-5 years . Boeser and Jake will battle for second line RW

Mason bees! They are awesome and really easy to take care of. I have two bee “houses” and they fill every year. Amazing pollinators, don’t sting, but don’t produce honey. - bloatedmosquito
Yeah, easy to build houses for them.
Sorry, Golfing I was in rib mode last night and didn't really have time to answer your question about bees. But Beekeeping was fun. I had a couple of separate thriving colonies for 5 years. Then they developed next to us, stripped the foraging area down to nothing and paved. Both colonies collapsed within a year. It was sad.
Last colony I had my friend caught a swarm and brought it over. Swarms are really cool to experience. That colony lasted a year before they rejected their queen, died out, and or joined an neighbours colony. The honey is still delicious from them though. Overall, it's complicated but fun to learn about. I'll probably do it again when I have more time and space that's less populated. |

LW:
JTM, Pearson, Ferland, Roussel, Motte, LE, Hoglander
RW:
TT, BB, JV, Leivo, MacEwen, Podkolzin, Jasek, Lind
Bold ones are people I could see them letting go/trading, especially as in the next 2 years they have to make room for the prospects. I think after next year, When Podk is ready to play, BB or JV will be traded. |
