I'll look into them thanks!

Just put a small pork shoulder on the smoker an hour ago.

LW:
JTM, Pearson, Ferland, Roussel, Motte, LE, Hoglander

RW:
TT, BB, JV, Leivo, MacEwen, Podkolzin, Jasek, Lind

Bold ones are people I could see them letting go/trading, especially as in the next 2 years they have to make room for the prospects. I think after next year, When Podk is ready to play, BB or JV will be traded.

Benning has already said he is going to look at moving a forward this year .

Without doing any moves this year Canucks have 18 mil to sign 7 -9 players.

Marky 5
TT 5
Gauds 1.5
Bring back Sven 1.1
Zack 800 K
Motte 1.0
Tanev 4.0

Worst case scenario without moves.

Cool, I'd like to do it but it might have to wait until I get my next property.

It's a worthwhile endeavor. Once they get established all they need is ample space, some monitoring for pests and queen cells and enough food for the winter. Food is honey stores but if there's not enough, then sugar water syrup. The honey they produce is tasty.

Enjoy the smoked pork.

Yeah, easy to build houses for them.

Sorry, Golfing I was in rib mode last night and didn't really have time to answer your question about bees. But Beekeeping was fun. I had a couple of separate thriving colonies for 5 years. Then they developed next to us, stripped the foraging area down to nothing and paved. Both colonies collapsed within a year. It was sad.

Last colony I had my friend caught a swarm and brought it over. Swarms are really cool to experience. That colony lasted a year before they rejected their queen, died out, and or joined an neighbours colony. The honey is still delicious from them though. Overall, it's complicated but fun to learn about. I'll probably do it again when I have more time and space that's less populated.

This might be the most interesting post I’ve read on this site in a long time. I had no idea that beekeeping had difficulties like that.

How was it?

Neighbour of mine did pork belly sliders (made with local honey ironically). So damn good I could have eaten 10 of them.

I see. When I read it and Jake wasn't re-signed, I thought it was making some moves.

I was reading that there are instances where you might have to remove the queen and have a new one take over if she's breeding aggressive bees. That was the one that turned me off about it the most.

Lots of little things to learn. I could fill reams with my beekeeping experiences. Such a fascinating world when you get inside the boxes and inspect the frames.

It's not an issue I ever had. I had an Italian and a Carniolan colony. The Italians by far the more docile. But still, at certain times of year both got a little more aggressive. I would have pegged the Carnies for being the ones to attack, but in the end the Italians got me pretty good one day. My fault, but they got me for 20- 30 decent stings on my arms and ankles. I looked down as the first one got me and had time enough to say "fuk" before the wall of bees followed.

Sorry, it is the big "fear" of keeping bees though. I'm alright with it happening to me, but don't really want the kids to suffer it.

People with large lawns and/or pavement or gravel provide no ecosystem for bees. Need lots of native plants and flowers so bees have something to live for.

You'd have gotten a kick out of the dance I was doing stripping my clothes off because they got under them.

But yeah, the reason I didn't get right back into it after the collapse was because of my daughter being a toddler at the time.

If TT resigns nothing says Hoagie & Pod will not see time in Utica. It might be no choice depending on how things unfold.

A 2nd & Madden I don’t think was intended on a rental.

If you ever do get into it, let me know. I can probably save you from a few mistakes I made along the way and share some decent knowledge from some fellow beekeepers that helped me learn.

Cool, thanks man I appreciate it. I think i'll buy some land before I get into it. Plant some fruit trees and build a house later on when I'm ready to sell this one.
