Because those 8 losers have to play those 8 winners who don't know they are going to be winners yet. So far since last night I have seen 2 postings in here with Lafrenniere in our lineup. Do you not think the other 15 teams are fantasizing the same thing?
- VANTEL

I have no idea what you’re trying to explain? So far eight teams are definitely out and eight teams are definitely in, sixteen teams have no idea if they’re in the lottery or in the playoffs.

So 16 teams are excited about the possibility of winning the draft .

I really wanna beat Minnesota and get into the playoffs, (frank) the pick, the boys need this. I just don’t like their chances.

Even if they draft 12 th as Lefty and Lord H predict that is still a win. I think they will beat Minny though.

Let's see what kind of shape/motivation they show up in?

To be honest the whole lottery thing is a joke, how they did it this year, only the bottom eight teams should’ve had a legitimate chance at the 1st overall pick, it’s total Mickey Mouse that a potential 90-100 point team gets the first overall pick.

Who cares? They have a slight chance to pull it off.

There will be the regulars that will complain and there will be others that enjoy the process. I will enjoy the process.

I like the fact we have an opportunity. I'm also realistic with our 50 years of luck when it comes to awarding picks.

Most franchises would much rather compete for a Cup given the circumstances. There’s some really good teams in the middle sixteen that could potentially win. I don’t think half, or more, of them give poop about the pick.

Pittsburgh
Toronto
Edmonton
Vancouver
Winnipeg
Calgary
Nashville
NYR

All these teams want Cups at this point, not some hokey pick, at least IMO.

I think there is no losing this year .

A ) We win and play in the playoffs.

B) We lose and have a one in 8 chance in winning the first over all

C) We lose and draft top 15 and get another very good player.

I think all scenarios are welcomed.

Nearly 200,000 cases world wide yesterday with the US and Brazil responsible for half of them.

Personally I think the experience is invaluable and guys need to know what the playoffs are all about. Horvat has been patient with management’s fumblings, I think he deserves this in a big way.

I see a lot of comments out there calling this system a joke . I don't really understand the anger. No matter what they did people were going to complain. At least now 16 fan bases are excited.
- VANTEL

Well at a start of a season all teams know the rules. At the end of the season then some bltch. Simply don't suck so bad & move on & do something about it.

If the Canucks lose, and somehow win the top draft spot, who gets traded? Think you let TT walk at that point...

JTM / EP / BB
Lafeniere / BH / Ferland?
Pearson / Gaud / JV
Motte / Sutter / Leivo

Mmm dreamy

- NewYorkNuck

Thinking that in my dreams all night while sleeping. A lot better than fans whining about us dropping & forced to pick EP & Hughes. Life ain’t fair lol

I just think they could have waited to see if their thingy was actually going to happen. I understand they are trying to stay relevant but they do it at the expense of looking silly. I think more people are laughing than they are angry. The NHL looks amateurish.

I think they’ll be lucky to beat Minny, but I hope they do. Give NJ the pick and move on.
