Sanderson plays left side, so unless you are moving Dahlin to right, I don't see that working.

I love Holtz as their pick...just like Rossi a whole lot more, he can play C or W.

By the way, their are multiple Draft Piick Value Charts that suggest a 3rd or 4th round is the price to be paid to move up from 8th to 7th. Also your guess-timate of 25% for a 4th rounder playing is way overstated...it's more like 10%...which tells me that anaylis of drafts suggest there isn't a big difference in 1 draft position.

I really like Holtz, but I do like Rossi better...my kind of player in that he has some nasty in him, compete is super high, smart, can skate well, and plays a good 200' game. He would be my guy at 4, let alone if he could fall close to us to make that move I referenced.
Center is a bonus as well, I think having more competition at 2C in the future can only help the Sabres...loser goes to 3C or plays wing...which Rossi and Cozens can both do.
Holtz is a winger as you know, I'd still b.v e very happy with him there too!

Don't forget about Lundell as a quality forward Center who will also be available when the Sabres pick.

If both Drysdale and Lundell are the 2 players available at 8, neither would be a bad decision.

Agreed - if Drysdale goes top 7, I still hope at least one of Holtz, Lundell and/or Hughes goes before our pick. Really like Holtz, but love Raymond, Rossi and Perfetti.

Lundell is a really good 2 way center but I see his talent as slightly below the above and I would take Hughes and Sanderson before him. With #8 I take a chance on a high ceiling guy over a guy who probably tops out as a very reliable 3C
