The picks better be about 5 1st rounders and the prospects need to be who ever is there top offensive prospect to even start the conversation. All those 1st will be in the 20s or 30s. Using reverse gerbe logic those are basically 3rd rounders. - IndianaSabresFan
Or …. how about we keep Eichel. He is under contract for 6 more years and hasn't asked to be traded (According to former GM Quinn)

Oh I agree. I’m just saying it would be a ridiculous offer to even consider it |

I'm going to have to disagree he has asked to be traded the last 2 years and during his exit interview he said he will be the first person traded with not a care in the world - gerbe75pts
He’s been hearing trade rumors for years
Just bc he was honest and acknowledged that,
doesn’t mean he’s still asking out
Clearly he’s frustrated
But he did say he liked playing for Kruger
Think of the weight that would be lifted off these guys shoulders if they start winning & make the playoffs
Don’t believe that? Look at O’Reilly
Hell... tweet at Sheary and ask him how he feels
It’s all about winning
We just have to start winning |

I only heard the AVS. It would be career suicide for Pegula to move Eichel and Krueger has told him. Now if things don't change soon, Pegula won't have any choice. Eichel is done with all the musical of GM's and Head Coaches so Pegula better hear Eichel when he makes a statement. I know no player should run the team but the Sabres are a different story unfortunately. |

I don’t think they’re moving him
And idk if they’d even need Risto?
Or a defenseman in general? |

It's really hard to find a 1C.
Top 3-5 nhl = 1C in eichel.
It's like a qb in the NFL. Top qbs win games.
Eichel owes it to the city of buffalo to give it a few more years. He owes it to the pegulas. He owes it to the franchise.
I wouldn't trade him for anyone other than McDavid or matthews. Maybe for a #1 overall mceichel rated prospect and some extra picks - Boss34

all points taken...a ton of pressure on krueger as he seems to be THE piece that could hold it all together and help them move forward...if he fails to do so...

Eichel owes the city of Buffalo and the fans not a F$$KING thing. The Sabres owe him.Pegula is the reason this team is still so bad, he listens to only certain people and that's his problem. |

I have no problem trading Risto if the return is solid, but mark my words when/if he is traded he will be a good player for the team that gets him. People will be talking about him a bit like we are ROR. There were tons who wanted him gone and now they are like Doh!! - GilPerreault11
The absolute main reason I dislike Risto is because he’s used constantly as a franchise D. If the coach would play him as a 2nd pairing PP guy I’d have 0 issue just trading Montour. |

I heard a while ago through someone (totally 3rd hand info) that he will go public by mid season next year if the Sabres aren’t competing |

if dahlin steps into his role as the team's no. 1 d-man, and if they can find a good fit as his d-partner, risto's minutes will drop...which is something that every coach has wanted to do |

he's got a lot of things going for him...he's got the respect of the players and ownership, which is really impressive...however, he needs to do something with it next season |
