Analogy time: When you were chosen as Sabres blogger, some could have thought of you as in over your head, but all it took was a few consistent quality blogs to see that was not the case.
All I'm saying is before we make an assumption, let's see what moves they make and go from there. Let's judge based on the results and not assumptions. - kingcong39

Phase 3 indoor restaurants in NY now being postponed. Wonder who the Governor is in that state? JFitz said if there is regression it’s at the fault of the Governor. Wonder if he will still be praising his hero . |

Yes.
And Joker is still very young to couple with another very young Dman on the 1st pairing.
In time, I too can see him being Dahlin's partner..or, better yet Joker anchors the 2nd pairing for a long time.
Find a strong defensively aware Dman partner for both, prosper.
I could see Joker playing 2nd pairing minutes this season, to allow his development curve to continue on. This is why I am adamant about trading both Risto and Monte. Joker and Miller are fine for 2nd & 3rd pairing. Monte and Risto are not 1st pairing dmen. - IonSabres
Do u have anyone in mind for RD1?
I’m thinking there’s no way Pietrangelo would sign here right now |

This place would become the Josh Allen draft day extravaganza. - TheSabresTaco
Everyone here assumes UPL will be a franchise goalie for us
He didn’t look so good in Rochester last year
It’s not a lock
While I’d take a forward at pick8,
Askarov wouldn’t be a “bad” choice
He’s the highest rated goalie prospect in a long time, maybe since Price?
How’d be be if we took Vasilevskiy instead of Girgensons?
Or even Tristan Jarry instead of Connor Hurley? |

I wonder what the excuse for GMTM not getting a job now will be...
Covid?
Recession??
Obama???

I really don't see how you go wrong at pick 8 with any of the forwards. Or Drysdale if he makes it that far. It feels like 2019 with Dach, Cozens, Byram, Zegras, Turcotte, Caufield, you're getting one of them and you can't lose (at time of draft).
This handful will be Stutzle, Raymond, Perfetti, Rossi, Drysdale, Holtz and Lundell all with picks 3-9. Plus you know Detroit is going to go off the board. Any one of those guys would be a gift. - TheSabresTaco
Why is no one mentioning Jack Quinn as a potential pick for us?
I’ll admit, i haven’t done my due diligence on the draft like i normally do...
but if the draft falls the way it’s supposed to, our choices seem to be:
RW Holtz- one of the best scorers in the draft
C Lundell- 2way Center (is he a 2C or 3C though?)
D Sanderson- no one seems to want
G Askarov- no one seems to want
RW Quinn- another very high goal scoring RW
I get not wanting a goalie or defenseman
But is these are the guys available....
i think it should be Holtz or Quinn
A goal scoring RW is exactly what we need |

Term Limits, 3rd Party ... both needed. - IonSabres
Agreed. And Campaign finance reform so politicians can stop being legally bribed
But good luck getting these guys to make changes that would be against their own self interest
BOTH sides wanna keep the status quo |

PAC's are another big problem - Michael Pachla
I like a political salary cap... take the average money spent in over the last 5 elections for every political office. Cut it in half, that’s what you can spend on a campaign moving forward.
I don’t care if the money comes from a pac or small donations. Hell even foreign money at that point.
If a pac puts an ad out, that goes to the political salary cap.
This endless pit of money spent on these elections is absurd.
I also want to see ...
1) a current photo of who I am voting for when I go to vote. Robert Byrd was using photos from the 70s while he was still running.
2) even with term limits, I would also like to see an annual wonderlic type test score in graphical representation when i go to vote.
Now, I can see who I am voting for and I have an idea of what there cognitive ability is year on year....

Figured our a Reinhart trade that makes sense
To Anaheim... Sam
To us... pick6 + Henrique
Maybe we have to add something minor?
But i think Henrique’s contract kills any trade value he’d have
If the Ducks are trying to win NOW with Getzlaf still... would they consider? |

I think trading Reinhart would be the straw that broke the Eichels back.
Sam is Jack's best friend on the team. You can't trade him. And to be honest you shouldnt even want to. He's young and steady with a ton of upside. Sam should really be gettting Okposo's money. He is the only guy on the roster who could actually be a viable #2 center, and their best option on RW as well. But more than anything right now.. he's keeping Jack happy(ish). |
