Resign Toffoli or not? - Nighthawk
Only if the price is right. I wouldn’t overpay for that piece just to justify what we lost in the trade. |

I don't think we focus on him as much as the Petey's and Quinn's but this kid has it he loves to play and score goals( I know obvious with those cellys). He has steadily improved going back to his Hobey Baker season. I still think as he gets more comfortable we will see him in the Ovechkin spot on PP2. As his strength increases he will be able to take some matchups. He's big, skates pretty well and seemed to grow within the season.

There is going to be a lot of movement this year . Teams like Tor Ariz and St L have less than 5 mil in cap space .
I honestly think Canucks will fix the D even more this year.
Bob Mac was saying there could be a push back on the start date because the PA and NHL are trying to resolve a new CBA . Next few days should provide some answers. With a flat curve for three years we will see what the NHL come up with. - VANTEL
Would love nothing more than a continued step forward, just feel like there is so much uncertainty that it will be difficult for this management team. We shall see. |

What? - Marwood
The NHL announced that as of Monday, 15 players have returned a positive test for COVID-19 of the more than 250 who have reported for Phase 2.
The league added that it is aware of an additional 11 players who have tested positive outside of the league's Phase 2 protocols. |

I’m not sure how you figure. It’s very possible that if they get this thingy off the ground the Wild win the series. It is also highly probable that the Canucks do not win the 1/8 lottery, thereby surrendering the 2021 first instead of the 2020, which is not protected. - 1970vintage
As Carol mentioned those odds are the best we've had yet. We're losing a pick regardless, and if we don't make the playoffs next season the odds of that pick being first overall are worse than our chances of winning first overall and a player that's been highly regarded for years.
Last year for example the Canucks only had a 5% chance. If we bottom out? Ya you're right, it's the absolute worst outcome. But after the bottom 3 teams the odds are in the single digits. For us to be bottom 3 next season just about everything has to go wrong. |

What Yorkie said.
Those initial 11 are all likely recovered by now, but I just don’t believe that you can have 8 teams (12 actually) in a bubble, that’s over 300 players per bubble, and nobody is going to go out for drinks and try to score a little something something.
15 current cases shows that guys (men in general) are careless. |

irrelevant. The pick that we have to surrender to NJ - what are NJ’s best opportunities for a high pick? The answer is 2021, because the only way they get this year’s pick is if the Canucks make the post season. So NJ’s chance of 1st overall this year is 0.00%, and next year it is >0.00%.
If they get this thingy going I hope the Canucks beat the Wild, give up the pick and its over with. |

Disagree on 2 fronts.
I think bubbles could totally work with professional oversight, especially when millions of dollars is on the line.
It's not a sure thing, but I think it could be done.
I also don't think that the 15 cases are indicative of carelessness necessarily. People can be very safe and still catch this bug in the community. |

Haven’t you seen Porkey’s, or Revenge of the Nerds? Horny young men will not stay in their dorms (hotel room)
Not careless? Ok, fine, that just shows that even professionals taking precautions are still apt to get sick. |

In a bubble. Very few active cases, borders still closed with the US, but getting some cross province travel.
People feeling very safe, going out, ignoring distancing to a degree. |

Sorry, no risk no reward. I'm not going to cheer for them to lose the play in, hell there's a good chance I hardly watch it. I mean it is summer.
Lafreniere was top 10 in scoring for the Q as a rookie. This kid is legit, averaging well over 2ppg this season. |
