Tanev is going to re-sign. Hughes likes him. Green likes the pair and has since day one. He wants to be here. It’s not a sexy move, but he and marky keep this team aiming for playoffs next year. Toffoli would be really nice, but i see him maxing his value somewhere like colorado.
- neem55

Yup. I’d like all 3 resigned somehow.

I think only 1 gets signed. Marky probably. He'll do what it takes to stay. TT the longest shot at getting resigned.

I'd say Marky and Tanev are pretty much locks to resign. They both want to be here, both are wanted here, and both don't seem like they're going to be asking for bank.

Marky no doubt. Tanev is a necessity to a degree. Toffoli odd man out too bad.

Find a way for all 3 my hopes.

The way Tanev played through his injuries and didnt miss any time for the very first time in his career made it seem to me he was setting himself up for a better bargaining position. Normally he would be cautious about his injury potential and just sit the rest of and following game/s to be safe. He wasnt like that at all this season. He was all in regardless of pain and risks.

I'm not sure about bank but he seems to want the best he can get and that may not be in Vancouver.

If Tanev re-signs, I'll put money on him not being available as Quinn's partner for around 30ish games next season.

Meh, nothing about Tanev's tenure here to me has indicated he's all about the money. He seems like a down-to-Earth guy who likes being part of this team and loves the city. He's going to want the best deal he can get, but I'm sure he knows with the uncertainty around the cap moving forward, not many teams are going to be throwing around crazy money this year.

As well with your injury guess, I think playing the QH has lessened the time he's spent defending, so he's getting less injured because of that.

There’s also the fact that Green deployed him differently that likely made a difference in his health.

lol ya he said something like that.

It was worse in 2014 Olympics when he was caught bad mouthing the Canucks organization and certain other players behind their backs. He told his buddy Kane how he wanted out and the organization was a joke...should have traded that clown in 2012 when we got pumped by LA!!

it is my personal opinion and I am sure someone will try to tell me how I should feel
but I really did not like that group.

I have to say the 2019 team is by far my favorite assembled Canuck team. It still needs about 2-3 adjustments but I think Benning has done a very good job.

Id be shocked if those two didn’t come back. Tanev and Marky have already talked about fairly publicly.

I wonder if the quarantined NHL players will get equally delicious food?

Speaking of the MLS, looks like their bubble for the Back Tournament didn’t work.

It's going to be fun in here when the NHL tournament thingy gets cancelled.

Doesn't sound like much of 'a bubble' when they talk of delegations travelling to Orlando and thinking it was extraordinary to isolate or quarantine the team when they started testing positive.

Florida is a hot mess.
