That's not a recipe for success when it comes to drafting. They need to solve their issues down the middle, but if the better talent is a winger that's the pick.

It's a fallacy that teams draft soley BPA.
They say they do but nrver say they also integrate positional values into setting their draft boards...i.e. Center gets a few extra rating points, or they look at theit pipeline and and adjust accordingly.

Im not saying teams do or don't do this. Just that they shouldn't. There are lot of teams that are bad at drafting. The Sabres are probably among the worst.

with that being said, hes only about a month older than lundell and about 4 months older than rossi, holtz and perfetti. approximating here. and, there is something to be said about progression though. I dunno

He might be good, who really knows. Just went from 0 - 100 in 1 season...tough to peg him.
But, 3rd Eye Blind has him in the Top 5, Sanderson moving up, Detroit reaching, Askarov... and Boom...we might get Byfield at 8.

Rossi Holtz Lundell would be my 3 choices, and there's a chance all 3 could be available at 8. So I hope Crowe is doing his hybrid approach well 2/3 of it and gets us the right one.
