But fast is a really good Swiss army player he is very underrated and his 2 way game is on point
If we could get him for 2m for 3 years im good with that - gerbe75pts
Would you pay him $3M for 3 years? That is likely what it would cost to get him to come to Buffalo. |

Football is going to be a poopshow too. Teams are going to pull all sorts of shady poop if they are left to self-enforce policies. Imagine if a starting QB is diagnosed and out for a month. I guarantee teams will be fudging test results or purposefully exposing their entire team the first week of training camp so they don't get pulled out during the regular season. That may be cynical, but I bet it'll happen |

Especially with trevor Lawrence as a tank prize.
Imagine the season getting shutdown part way thru and teams tied for last place. |

Being in Canada should be a massive advantage for the league going ahead on schedule with how well (comparatively) Canada is handling the pandemic. We'll see though - jcragcrumple
They also don't have playoffs scheduled until September/October. Unless the NHL scraps the season they can't start on time. |

Wonder if ny stays closed into next season, whether the Sabres play up north? |

And? The death rate for under 40 is like .001%
I will bet you not one athlete dies from it. Hell they probably barely get sick.
So why should you decide what they want to do? |

I bet you not one football player dies who gets the virus.
Should these people be able to decide their own lives?
Notice the media stop talking about deaths and now just talks about infected.
mortality rate is now lower than, car accidents, flu, smoking, cancer, alocohol, cardiovascular disease.
Studies show that 30 million people have the virus and don't even know it because they have no symptoms. They know this by doing Antibodies tests.
Protect the vulnerable and lets move on with our lives unless you want poverty to be a top 5 killer too.(Currently kills 120,000 Americans a year) |

Okposo won't be going anywhere anytime soon...
"Seeing all sorts of speculative chatter amongst fans discussing possibility of new CBA amnesty buyouts to help clubs manage flat cap. Amnesty buyouts are NOT part of agreement. They might make a GM’s life easier but wouldn’t help owners/players navigate their troubled economy."

That's entirely what were doing.
Also, the spikes are recent, you do know death rates will rise as it doesn't kill you instantly, right? |

One thing to consider on Cozens-
If the WHL starts their season on time, he might be able to play there for a few months until the Sabres start their season potentially Jan. 1
I think that would be a good thing for him. Get the best of both worlds with a bit more development time for him and he'd hit the ground running with the Sabres once the season starts.
Someone may tell me now that he wouldn't be allowed to leave mid-season, but I dont think thats the case - jcragcrumple
I’d guess he could but I could see where it could be an issue as well. |

Here's a fun idea. Keep 8th.
Trade Eichel for #3 and #5 to Ottawa.
Trade Dahlin for #1 overall.
Build a core around 6K, Jokiharyu, Olofsson, Cozens, and the four guys you draft in the top 8.
Probably could get another elite prospect for Reinhart too.

The question is, now lacking a true 1C going forward, do you draft Byfield at 1 or still go with Lafreniere?
And who do you draft at 3 and 5? |

Lafreniere #1
If Byfield goes #2 then draft Rossi #3
Holtz or Raymond at #5
Perfetti at #8
Lafreniere - Cozens - Holtz
Olofsson - Rossi - Kahun

Especially if they aren't playing hockey for a year or 2.
Let the 4 picks age during the pandemic.

Rather do #2 and Turcotte for Eichel.
Byfield
Cozens
Turcotte
Down the middle will look like the 06/07 Sabres for 8 years instead of 2 |
