I don't get the love for Cirelli, what has he done to garner that much. I think Cozens could be better than him right know. - Buff36
He's young, in just his 2nd full season, a complete 2 way forward and posting 0.65 PPG at age 22.
He's very, very solid with upside...he could turn into ROR. |

You're likely getting similar or better value. All factors considered. - TheSabresTaco
Yeah could be, I just think there's a few players to be had that can get you 50pts to 60pts without giving up the 8th. But again that's why I post on a message board, wrong most of the time. |

Botterill was a pro at collecting common goods but couldn't snag that relic. Joker, he pounced on a dumb offer from Chicago and deserves props. Letting that 2C hole fester was, by far, his biggest downfall. |

Points wise, you're right. But being, mentioned above, a young God, with his position and abilities, he's going to cost much more. |

This team has done nothing for 20 years at the least and you are worried about the 8th overall pick, you better be more concerned that your franchise player is going to want out next year if things don't change. There will be nobody to tell Eichel anything different, he's gone if he doesn't see it. |

That was Botterill's target all along, has been for over a year now. They are getting a lot of calls on Montour, some on Miller and a couple for Casey. A couple teams want Pekar in a deal. - SABRES 89
Hopefully Pekar stays. I wouldn't give him up. He seems like a poop talking pest that can get under other team's skin. That's my kind of player. |

Guess I am a little gun shy, I don't want the same thing that happened with ROR, get a good player but then give up so much to get him, that you don't have anything to put around him to use those talents, especially when Cozens comes. |

I think the deal would include Sam and Mitts and we would have to take on longer term contract like Johnson or Gourde. According to CapFriendly, only NMC’s are Stamkos, Kucherov and Hedman. - Hatboro_Swords
If were trading sam, have to imagine other teams would include a cap dump. Who's paying him big $ and not worrying about limited cap space?

Brendan Lemieux says hello, everyone not wearing 9 or 26 should be on the table. From what I was told, Pegula better take Eichel seriously, Kim can't bulls$$t her way out of this. You make moves now to start moving forward not stay in neutral. |

Many times, Hutton put the sabres in such a deep hole during the first period, they could not come back
so in many ways Hutton kept them from catching the Habs this season
but so did Krugeur and Botts for playing Hutton, knowing he only had 1 eye
there is room on the roster to carry a third goalie - homiedclown
Hutton had an overall -7 differential in the first period of the 30 games he played.
The range was from -3 to +3.
Frequency of occurrence:
-3 = 2
-2 = 3
-1 = 7
0 = 10
+1 = 5
+2 = 2
+3 = 1
If you count being down by 2 or 3 as a deep hole, that happened 16% of the time (5 times total). |

I take issue with this talk that Eichel is gone when he has a 10 million dollar contract for a few more years. He can sit out, and not make his money and pout but that contract is a silly, legal thing. He also has to play well to keep up his value for his next payday.

Never said not to trade it, just make sure it's the right deal. And don't want a 1 and done season of making the playoffs, but then we don't have the talent to put around these guys like happened with ROR, great to get good players, but you have to have people to play around them to. |

Take it how ever you want it, no changes, he wants out. He's tired of the musical chairs with GM's and Coaches. The Sabres will get screwed due to his contract if they have to move him, the return may not be as good. |
