Done in a heartbeat
Throw in Henrique & pick6 and we’ll add Sam & Tage - jdfitz77
Calgary, not the Ducks |

Yes in that scenario. If it’s in a trade for him. If it’s just ANA unloading his monster contract on us they would need to give us something. He has negative value in a trade. |

I have a ?, why not just sign Haula. Won't cost assets and he seems to finally be healthy. And use those assets on a Winger or 2 |

He'd be fine as a backup option but he's a knee injury away from retirement.
The Canes were concerned he wouldn't play again this year when he got hurt

It's cool, he also was talking about how they tried to get Lindholm in a trade for ROR but Calgary backed out because of the bonus. |

If we were trading just for Henrique, he’d fit
It would limit our other options though if we kept both Risto & Montour (and still had Sam) |

Gotcha
I should’ve known this since i apparently read every post on here
😂😂😂
I really liked Lindholm in his draft year too
Was surprised he struggled in CAR,
but i guess he just needed a little more time to develop
I’m hoping that’s the case with Mitts too! |

There appears to be one, although players like Seth Jarvis, Jacob Perreault, Connor Zary and the aforementioned Dawson Mercer have put up very strong seasons. The 8 i mentioned may be more predictable in their trajectory, but wouldn't surprise me at all if one or two of these guys wound up having better careers
The only one im kinda sour on is raymond, you'd be betting solely on talent there, not production as it hasn't translated so far. - Michael Ghofrani
And others are convinced Raymond is a future star, but overall, your point is strong.
From the group of Lafreniere, Byfield, Stutzle, Raymond, Rossi, Perfetti, Holtz, Lundell, and Drysdale, there will be AT LEAST 2 available at 8 to choose from, which is a strong situation for the Sabres.
If a team goes off the board to pick somebody like Sanderson, Askarov, or Quinn before the Sabres pick, they will have their choice of more than 2 from the list above.
It's the main reason I would keep the pick (not trade up or down), and simply choose the player I liked the most from what's left of the group above, and use the assets the team has to better the team via trades, signings, etc. |

I'd be fine with a 1-2 year deal for him, and I don't know exactly how bad his knee is but it's definitely a red flag |

Man reading that Story you posted 39, it really shows how (frank)ed up not wanting to pay that ROR bonus really was, and how much it screwed up the possible return. |

Oh it definitely is, I was thinking a 1yr deal until Cozens slides in. Rustolanen(spelling) should be ready next year to take 3C. |

Figured our a Reinhart trade that makes sense
To Anaheim... Sam
To us... pick6 + Henrique
Maybe we have to add something minor?
But i think Henrique’s contract kills any trade value he’d have
If the Ducks are trying to win NOW with Getzlaf still... would they consider?
Then we can take Rossi at 6, & Holtz at 8
BOOM - jdfitz77
The Ducks are rumored to be considering taking a defenseman there (Drysdale) if he is available. Curious if that would factor into their thinking. |

I would rather see us land a legit 2C (Henrique is not a legit 2C) with term than trade up.
Not sure #8 by itself gets us this though. |
