Lol the Hawks are right (frank)ed if they want to keep Dylan Strome. And they have no goalies.
- BINGO!

You really don't think the NHL will allow them to do something to get out of this?

Unlike mark hunters draft where he drafted nothing but giant dmen that can't skate. Have any of them even made the ahl?
- burn

Let me preface this by saying: a) I don't watch any juniors, so my evaluation of players in a draft is laughable; and b) I'm usually the last guy defending Mark Hunter.

Having said that, I'm guessing you are referring to the 2016 draft, and I don't exactly hate what he did.

3rd round, took J. D. Greenway out of the USND program. Looking on hockeydb, it appears he is still in US college, so maybe we still have his rights?

Then with the 101 pick, took Keaton Middleton. 6'5", 230. I don't mind rolling the dice at 101. Looks like he now plays for San Jose. It was a free pick anyways.

I'd be perfectly ok if Dubas wanted to offer Byfuglien a 1 year deal for a low value, maybe with some incentives in it. Low risk, potential reward. Need a guy like him.

You have to see what shape he's in. Not sure at this stage he is the same guy. Mid 30's without playing in overa year, major injury and has had big weight issues.

But OMG Leafs are in cap hell!!!

17 NHL teams with less than 1 million in cap space... And leafs can trade any player. I really don't see that in other teams near the cap

Confused why Vancouver is already out of cap without seeing the playoffs. Same with Coyotees and Flyers. Dallas is (frank)ed with that old team. They better win this summer. Tampa can easily move deals, but they are in a mess this summer. LOL @ Lou in Long Island.

Just had an interesting new spam phone call.

Apparently my transaction of $1,300,000 was successful, and if I want to do any further financial moves, I just have to call them back at that number.

Obviously I'm happy with the $1,300,000 transfer I just did, so I didn't bother to call them back.

He's over 35, so you could make it heavy on the bonuses.

40 years in prison for attending the Leafs parade will be a helluva lot easier than the previous 40 years of being a Leafs fan.

So if it took moving Nylander or Marner to bring in a solid #1 defencemen you don't do it? Why the reluctance to fix the offence/defence ratio? I just don't get the ignorance with regards to a team need. Ignore it at your peril

They won't trade Marner.

Nylander could definitely be traded to make room for a #1 RHD.

Frankly, I think every team is in "cap hell" with the Leafs being one of the better teams in terms of negotiating it.

Having said that, I wonder if Andy will be in the picture when he hits UFA. I wouldn't be surprised if the Leafs pivoted towards another netminder.
