TBH, I wouldn't take it either. Hedman is a generational talent. Tampa is lucky AF to have him, especially at his cap-hit.

there were so many Leafs fans in here that said Gardiner was a very good d-man.
(of course they suddenly changed their views when he signed with Carolina).
Honestly - only reason why Gardiner looked ok from time to time was because Babcock exactly knew how to play him to his strengths. |

Tampa got a steal on Hedman. At this point in their respective careers, Hedman is better than Karlsson and worth more money.

No. Karlsson's 2017 playoffs is the stuff of legends. hedman has never been close to that good. Hedman is better now due to injuies but Karlsson's peak is far better. |
