I think 1 million, for someone who hasn't done anything in this league, is a fair price. By no means am I in favour of signing him again, as I would much rather see some of the youth get a chance, starting with Brisebois, who has proven himself in the AHL, over the past 2 seasons.
Oscar, Benn and Stecher can piss off. - Reubenkincade
It will be under 2 mil and probably under 1.5 . Putting Benn on waivers and sending him down basically swaps contracts. I have no problem at all seeing what Tryamkin can do? It is very low risk.

I read that as well, to be clear the agent isn't quoting those numbers the author is. Dhaliwal's quote of a 3M ask came from the agent I think. - belcherbd
I agree with you that Canucks need to make sure they have 15 mil for Petey and Quinn. I don't think in the flat cap it will go higher than 15.
I am more concerened about Edlers numbers. He could still be usefull but he will be 35 so it needs to be below 3 I hope. |

I think it is possible 15M is enough and you have a good point regarding flat cap and them taking bridge deals. I think Edler will be gone unless he comes back for peanuts. Defense needs an overhaul and I don't see it occurring from within. My guess is only one of OJ, Rafferty, Woo and Rathbone become a player of any significance.

We do have some good kids just like when Edler stepped into the league but you can't bring them all in at once. Protected minutes the first year. Edler being 35 could try for for more money elsewhere when his contract is up but then again may opt for another year at 2 mil here. |

I could see that as a potential 2nd D pairing down the road. I think Rafferty and Rathbone could be fine 5/6/7 guys, but they're not going to be around as long as OJ and Woo. |

For Benning the simplest answers are the word of choice as he’s not able to get creative. If they beat Minnesota, should they in fact play, they’ll have no first round pick....it’s his M.O. and it is what it is. He ALWAYS says he’d like to recover picks but never does, lip service for the sheep essentially.
He won’t trade Boeser because he’s cost certainty and a consistent young producer who he drafted, I could however see him moving Jake Virtanen to try and get a 2nd or 3rd rounder, but even that is reaching as Jake is a 5 on 5 contributor.
At best I think you’ll see nothing happen but maybe a Tryamkin signing. - Pacificgem
Lip service hardly. Not easy easy acquiring picks. You claim he’s lying by your statement.
Try to get a 2nd for Jake c’mon. Your valuation is poor. |

Just read that Domi might not be allowed to play even if he wishes as he has type 1 diabetes and would be deemed too risky.
I'm sure there are others, all it will take is for a key player on a contender and this whole thing will be shut down I think. |

There was hail yesterday and a pretty good thunderstorm. Then it was sunny. I was there for my Father-in-laws memorial. This picture pretty much sums it up. Back home now absorbing it. |
