I agree with you that Canucks need to make sure they have 15 mil for Petey and Quinn. I don't think in the flat cap it will go higher than 15.

I am more concerened about Edlers numbers. He could still be usefull but he will be 35 so it needs to be below 3 I hope.

This is salary/cap for 20/21 for active goalies. There is a significant drop off from the top three (Price, Bob, Vasy). Marky also probably isn’t in the Cup winning, Conn Smyth convo as The Flower or Rask. But I’d say he is firmly in the group of Gibson through Rinne, between $5-$6.4m. I could see Markstrom wanting 4 years and $6m per and if the Canucks can’t do that deal because they have to “save money” for Petey/Hughes there is something very wrong with the GM.

So a six year deal then? Because that’s the only way you are getting the cap number down. Bishop received $7m, $6.5m, $5.5m his first three seasons. Then the money drops down to $3.5 the rest of the way.
