I think this is going to be canceled because a group of team players are going to test positive and it’s going to run through the room like wild fire.

Still a good signing IMO. Looks like he is healthy (fingers crossed) and has shown he's got good skill to complement his abrasiveness. The Ferland contract isnt a problem, either he's on IR or he is a great middle six player.

Benning has signed a bunch of bad contracts, but Beagle and Sutter are the only ones we are currently carrying IMO.

Benning's only fault with the recapture was thinking they weren't going to get hit with it and not being prepared for it when it happened. I believe he admitted, at one point, that he didn't think they were going to get hit with it.
It's a moot point because they still got Ferland.

I guess I don’t really understand the logic behind moving a 21 goal scorer for a 24 goal scorer which will cost 2 million more dollars a year? Toffoli’s a better goal scorer than Pearson but he’s not 2+ million dollars a year better imo. He’s five years removed from his one and only 30 goal season, he had 13 goals last year. Most of the moves suggested are zero-sum moves, there’s actually very little benefit to them.

Boeser is a much better player than Toffoli but he did have a bad (for him) goal scoring year last year, Pearson and Toffoli are interchangeable but TT will cost you a lot more.

What Benning needs to be able to do is add without taking away unless his goal is to just ice the same type of mediocre team with different players?
