Really ? The got the 2 top rated GMS ... that worked out great - gerbe75pts
Adams, or Murray?
seriously, botts gave them a 5 year plan that was working in cincy and rochester, which kym and teri signed on board with
and then they make decisions for the big club, and whack him before his prospects get a chance
sabres best stretch of this past season, was when taylor was with the big club, they sucked once he went back to rochester
and yet soccer man with less then 2 seasons coaching and a .483 win percentage is now calling the shots with kym and teri while our puppet gm cant even keep the rinks playable at the harborcenter

Because the roster sucks ? But hey its the pegula lmao - gerbe75pts
And why does the roster suck, Gerbe?
Say it with me...
Because the owners hire the wrong people, over and over and over again. But hey, God DAMN that Terry Murray (rest his soul), he told us to hire his nephew! |

I warned people (I know I wasn't the only one) that things could absolutely get worse and it seems like they are.
The owners are the biggest common denominator in this whole mess.

1) Do not interfere and issue ultimatums to trade players
If only you knew the real truth lol
2) Understand that some players aren't the most refined people, are young, and make stupid mistakes
3) pay the damn bonus when anyone with a functioning brain could see the player return was significantly worse by refusing to pay it. The long-term results outweigh the short-term bravado ... thats not true but ok
4) realize you are a fan boy and fan girl and have zero ability in running the organization.
Yeah thats why they call tons of people everyday to help move the team forward

And you're wrong...
They not only listen to those people but went with the tank ...
But hey your move - gerbe75pts
telling a gm to trade kane, not sign him
telling a gm to trade ror before the bonus
telling a gm to play casey with the big club
firing the entire staff of rochester, when they have had their best stretch of hockey since miller and vanek played in rochester, makes perfect sense
I won't even touch the athletic article
there is a reason why there is more articles on kym, and her statements then all the other nhl owners combined
sabres are flat out the biggest joke in the nhl right now, and kym and teri are in the black book with Nicky Santoro |

Probably will not get better anytime soon
bruins, bolts, leafs are so much better
red wings will turn it around sooner rather then later with yzerman
sens are going to be stacked, they are set up like we should have been if kym and teri didn't tell murray to win now
and the panthers have a solid foundation
we could be last in the division 12 months from now |

Yeah and I'm sure they loved being at the bottom all those years it was botts or jack they picked jack
and then they make decisions for the big club, and whack him before his prospects get a chance
Who cares he was destroying our organization he would have signed simmonds for 4 years

Sure , special teams failed them.
Really seems like some soft early goals that effected their psyche in games.
Anyone who has played hockey understands, goaltender stats vs. Key save moments.
Confidence in your goaltender is crucial
Hutton had a great run early , back to back shutouts.
But the bad was really bad, definitely disheartening to the players.
I'd be surprised if the Sabres didnt spend to the cap.
After all teri is a fan, and wants to see them win - Boss34
once we hit mid november, when hutton was the start I had the same feeling as when we played lalime or thibault |

He sexually harassed his daughter
You wouldn't trade him ? Cool
telling a gm to trade ror before the bonus
Thats not true
telling a gm to play casey with the big club
Lmaooooooooo thats not true at all that was botts

Bro they couldn't win in the playoffs who cares

I'd suggest that Rochester wasn't really working because the roster was full of AHL vets and the actual prospects weren't carrying the team.
When Botterill was asked on-air by Mike Schopp who in the system the fans could be excited about seeing in 2020-21 and couldn't even spit one name out, I figured his goose was cooked.
I agree with the point that things might actually get worse in the short and medium term. TB, Bos and Tor are much better than we are now, and they have better farm systems too. The Habs, Sens and Red Wings are also better positioned with picks/prospects/young talent overall than we are.
We have Eichel, Dahlin, and possibly Cozens and 6K coming, but other than that our abysmal drafting the past decade has left the cupboard bare. |

I think some of it is drafting, but some of it is definitely on the development side. |

This is the second post I've seen that talks about rushing kids.
Did he really say that? - Powerslave
Bulldog from WGR publicly stated Pegula in the case of 6K doesn't want to wait for development and doesn't understand why they cant play now.
Pegual wants the kids here, he wants them playing in the big club and does not want them to follow the dev path. |

This theory has already kind of been debunked.
Thompson got hurt, was playing major minutes before that. Pilut, Bryson and Borgen all got big minutes on D. Mittelstadt got big minutes once he got there
Botts drafted a lot of college guys (Samuelsson, Johnson, Weissbach, Mitts) and guys overseas in Davidsson, Laaksonen etc.
That's why there werent a ton in the A |

What’s probable the worst move in bott’s time as gm, I’d assume most would say the ror trade, which he was forced by the OWNERS to make, that is directly on the pegulas.
Are they the only reason this team sucks, he’ll no, but to act like they haven’t contributed in their own way to this mess is an oversight imo. |

Yeah, totally coincidental that the one deal he picked was the team that agreed to pay the bonus but also had to give us the exact same amount of salary back.
