I just wish casey would take everything seriously then we have nothing to worry about..
I'm honestly scared he's going to be so fat when we see him again |

he's seems to have a body-type that has a lot of "baby fat" to it...i'm not sure he'll ever be "cut" like you seem to want him to be and i'm also of the opinion that he's still growing into his frame...once he gets there i think he'll be fine |

Sabres also could’ve just drafted Boeser - sbroads24
Sucks how many picks they traded away that year 21, 25, 31st and the 62nd. |

Lol I 100% said the same thing on a different website yesterday
Why don’t they want to pay this kid? - Sabretooth9
For that matter why didn’t the Sabres want to pay ORiley his measly $7 mill but would rather pay Skinner $9 mill only to not play him With Eichel? |

Nice job on the above.
Would Winnipeg want a bit more for Copp and Roslovic? |

had they paid that bonus they would have paid him $27.5 million in two years which comes out to almost $14m/season...as it was they dished out $20m in those two years... |

i'm not ready to give up on him just yet...he's got the skating, hands and skill-level but he wasn't mentally and physically ready for the nhl |

Sean Monahan or Mikael Backlund.
I'm not sure what a real 2C is, but if you're thinking somebody like Point or Cirelli, they aren't getting traded. - kingcong39
I've never been shooting for the fences with Point or Cirelli
I would like Monahan and haven't thought much about Backlund

I'm not ready to give up on him yet either unless he is part of a package that brings back something really nice.

Backlund is likely the more realistic target of the pair. |

But the correct move, the move they needed to make, was to keep him here for the duration of the contract... And have your Dury (with Eichel as your Briere). They spent to the cap on garbage and anyway. Why not just pay the good players, your leaders, the contract ownership signed off on in the first place? With nothing else different but reversing the ORiley trade, they’re in the playoffs this year. |

Sure, but aren't they in a bit of a bind with that 2nd line center? Cozens, if he pans out, will be their 2nd line center before too long so do they want to give up a ton? I think they could give some if they go for three scoring lines like they did in the mid 2000's. Like I mentioned before get one to hold the fort for a year while Cozens plays the 3rd line, then flip them but make sure he can drive a line, score around 50 pts. He might be up in age, late 20's.

Asplund & a pick for Henrique
Montour & Tage for Boeser
Olofsson-Jack-Sam
Skinner-Henrique-Boeser
MoJo-Cozens-Kahun
Routsalainen-Larsson-Okposo
Would need to figure out LD3 on the cheap
But i like that forward group...
especially with Mitts starting in Rochester & hopefully dominating - jdfitz77
How much is the forward group costing?
9, 10, 7, 4, 5.8, 5.9, 4.5, 0.9, 2.5, 0.9, 1.9, 6.0 = 58.5m
I like it, but can they can't afford that!
They'll be worse off than Toronto, lol. |

Sounds like the Sabres are just trying to play it cheap of late. I know the NYR or Toronto wouldn’t be scared of paying their guys.
And for that matter let’s not give the Pegulas so much credit for turning around the Bills either... They did pass on Mahomes, D.Watson and L.Jackson after all, some All-Pro and MVP talents. A lot of Bills teams have had good defenses in the past, but identifying a HoF QB is what takes u to the SuperBowl. |

point taken...for me, get the best talent you can at that position...if it takes the 8th-overall this year then i'm game (although i really don't think that will happen)...
and to your point of running three scoring lines, what better way to do it for the next few years than to have jack, no. 2, cozens and allow him ample time to grow into that second-line role?
just my thoughts |
