I always knew slavery was awful, but I didn’t fully understand the atrocities committed, and for how long it happened until I watched those DW docs about it. I felt a little different about it afterwards.

More ppl should watch that feature btw..

Absolutely. I thought my parents generation were crazy. My mother hated the Japanese, she knew people who were interned in their prison camps during the war.

I thought she was crackers and I wasn’t shy about pointing it out. It made for some great debates.
