In all seriousness, the nature down here is awesome. Hunting fossils on the Peace River (no relation to the Canadian river) is like stepping back in time. Kayak down the river a few miles into the middle of the boonies, and it's like being in another world. I would live out there like Grizzly Adams if it was acceptable to do so. If you ever get down here again during the dry season (about October/November to April/May), hit me up and I'll take you out there to find mammoth tusks and megalodon teeth.

And then we'll never hear from Buff again, right?šŸ˜€šŸ˜€

Thanks dude. Iā€™m determined to get back there and that sounds fantastic.

On a hockey related note, who would be a better UFA signing- Bogo or Schenn? You saw them play last, anything left in the tank?

I stopped giving Reapers I grew to people, because no matter how much you try to explain them to people, they do not fear the Reaper and think eating a whole pod is easy until they are puking, calling in sick to work, poopting the bed, etc. I've grown a lot of superhots and they still scare me. Managed never to puke yet.

You know what I like about Reapers? Despite their atomic heat, they still have a distinctive flavor that is apparent before the Sherman-like scorched earth hits the taste buds.

I had a sauce a while back that was made with reapers, and it actually tasted good AF, if you could handle the heat. I don't recall the name of it offhand, but I'd love to find it again.

Buff, you hear what those guys are saying? They want you to vanish in the Florida swamps. How's that for friends? Should I extend the same invitation to them? LOL.

Hard to say about Bogo and Schenn. To be honest, I expected both to be useless pylons, but Schenn actually held his own when using the eye test. Not sure what his fancy stats look like, but he managed to keep up with the play most of the time, which is saying something with this speedy Tampa roster. Made smart passes and was positionally sound. Slow of course, but not as plodding as I feared he would be. Dude hits hard and can still hold his own when the gloves are dropped.

Bogo I didn't get much of a look at. Smaller sample size. From what I remember, first couple of games weren't great, but once he started to settle in, he seemed decent. Pretty much a toss-up with Schenn, but I think I would take Schenn.

Either one would be cheap and serviceable as a 7th d-man.

Yeah man. I find that with the superhots in general. If you can gradually adapt to the heat (and it helps to get addicted to the endorphin rush), there is flavour there that is unique.

I make a chunky sauce with Reaper, habanero, sweet red pepper and garlic and put it on everything. I'm used to it. Or I'll use a pod to light up a batch of chili. It would be inedible to most.

Every once in a while I'll bite off more than I can chew though...writhing and drooling for an hour. Vanilla ice cream is the best antidote.

I've slowed down greatly on my intake of heat as I get older. I used to love hot sauce on everything and the hotter the better. It might be why I have peptic ulcers now.....well that and a diet of straight bourbon didn't help either.....or smoking....or genetics....LOL.

I just can't handle it like I used to, but I still like it on occasion. Last year I did that hot sauce challenge with my soninlaw - that one that went viral on the interwebs. It's like six sauces of increasing heat. Reaper was like the fourth one I think. The fifth one was some poop called "Atomic" or "Nuclear" or something like that. It kicked my ass. Had me stomping my feet and blowing steam. I handled it, but my taste buds were friggin scorched after that, Even though I tried the last and hottest sauce, it didn't have any effect because my mouth was still on fire from the previous one.

I have been hoping the Leafs bring back Schenn to play on the third pairing for the last couple years.

Why Not?!

It's probably the bourbon lol...yeah when Reaper is the fourth out of six it is going into crazy stupid hot where you can see through time.

The first two or three were pretty weak. I wouldn't even really call them "hot", but I'm like that.

The Reaper was the first one to get my attention and I was like - "Ok, here we go, poop's getting real now"

That fifth one was napalm. It was such a dramatic escalation after the first four. I was guzzling milk to knock it down and get ready for the hot death that I assumed was coming with the sixth and final sauce.

Like I said before, that last one didn't even register because I was still on fire from the bear mace I tried right before it.
