Did you notice how I gave you a free pass on Clark.

Clark is better than most, with the possible exception of Darcy Tucker.

Off-subject here, but asking for a friend :

What is involved in emigrating to Canada? How hard is it?

Does one need a job waiting on them or a sponsor or something?

What kind of financial costs are associated with process? Fees, etc?

- GalacticStone

I believe the first question is
Are you from the following states: Alabama, georgia, Louisiana, florida, texas, Mississippi?

If yes: then need not apply.

Kidding of course. I really dont know, sorry for wasting your time.
Ill see myself out.
Lol

I'm not much of a white wine guy but I have a bottle of Okanagan Gew chilling in the fridge and right when this conference call is done I'm gonna go enjoy a nice cold glass of it while I sit in the sauna which is my backyard.

You'll need about $15000, and it'll need to be split up into chunks paid out in random amounts around 2-3k, each payment one month apart. I'll send you an invoice indicating some arbitrary work I did for you.

Then we meet, have dinner, get to know each other a bit. I'll submit the marriage application soon after and we can get hitched at city hall. You can then live in my basement for a couple of months while you figure your life out in Canada. Once you get your sponsored landed immigrant status, a job, and a place, you can go out on your own and we'll get divorced a year later.

Another true Galactic Stone story :

Went to high school with a Toronto transplant. Said transplant had an older brother who was busted by the RCMP for selling hashish at his high school back in the 1980's. This was the last straw for his parents, who packed up and moved to Florida to get a fresh start....LOL, I know, right?

Dude was a huge Leafs fan. Ended up hanging out more with his older brother and he introduced me to hockey. I had never watched a single game until then. For a few years, I was all wrapped up in Leafs hockey by proxy. I also started liking my hometown team of St. Louis, because reasons.

Then Tampa got a franchise and Tampa became my first team, Leafs second, Blues third.

I still have a soft spot for the Leafs as the team that brought me to the dance.

End story.

One key characteristic of Canada’s immigration policy (I’m speaking about regular immigration, not those claiming refugee status) is that is is much more of a meritocracy relative to the U.S. and other developed countries.

The U.S. asks for your tired; your sick; your poor. We much prefer your wealthy; your post-secondary educated; and your young and ready to contribute to the workforce so we can tax yo ass

My friend is absolutely none of those things. LOL.

So, I guess sneaking across the border and living in the deep woods like Grizzly Adams is his only option....

There's gonna be stiff competition considering all foreign professionals are gonna want into Canada after the US's new immigration laws go into effect.

Few different classifications all using point systems. Language, education, skilled trades, work experience, managerial experience, etc. There’s also an investor stream where you need to commit to invest a certain amount. Been a while so I don’t know what the amount is know.

Provinces can also run their own programs with their own priorities depending on where you want to go.

The bolded, in practice, simply means that immigrating to Quebec is much harder than the rest of the country.

Quebec always had their own system. More recently other provinces were given some authority to fast track some priority categories and individuals.

Its hilarious that he thinks it would take macdavid from edmonton to land eichel or matthews and sandin from Toronto to land eichel.
Wtf.

- Fakepartofme

Pretty insane

The reality is that if Echiel wants out and is traded Buffalo will lose the trade.

That silly article was all trades Buffalo would “win”

You don’t win when you trade a superstar

I lived in Montreal for 14 years, wasn't the worst!

Eastern Townships are pretty nice.

Gatineau hills are also pretty nice.
