You'd have to think the line of GMs making offers would be very long if they are open to moving Boeser. Getting Erikson off the books would be a win for them, but the price is probably still going to be very high.

Fitz's first move as GM was to hire Ruff. Not a great start.

if a defense first coach couldn't get this team to be good defensively, might as well never play defense in the first place and just try to score goals (something this team is also bad at). What could go wrong.

So what do you guys think is a fair offer for a 23 year old who already has 75 goals and 160 points and will still have two years left under 6 mil and hits RFA instead of UFA status after those 2 years?

Not sure, he also has a major injury history which is a bit troubling so that could lower his price a tad. No idea what it'd cost though, but it'll likely start with their own 1st back, plus a prospect and a roster player like Wood. Unfortunately i think they'd want a top 4 D back, which we wouldnt be a good fit for. Taking Eriksson off their books would likely lower the price a decent amount though

I dont think it impacts the AZ pick at all. We get the pick no matter what unless they win the lottery and pick #1. Way more impact on the Canucks pick. Nobody knows whats happening though and if it affects conditional picks or not. It was worded so poorly from the NHL and nobody is being clear on it

I think they're trying to move him so they can open up space to retain some of their UFAs. My guess is that they'd look for a D man on a rookie contract. Ty Smith is really the only one that fits for us and not sure if it really makes sense for us at this point since we'd have to add more.

The AZ pick only moves to next year if its in the top 3. Its the Vancouver pick thats conditioned on them making the playoffs

As long as Arizona doesn't lose the play in round then go on to win the lotto (pick 1 is still going to be one of the teams knocked out of the play in round), we get their pick this year.

As far as I can tell Vancouver needs to win this play in round for us to get theirs this year.

Woof that's a big loss. I wouldn't mind if Flames won 1st overall. We really need Habs and Chicago to win. Imagine having 7th and 9th overall?? Holy cow. We'll probably get 2 of the top players at 10, maybe at 11 or 12.. but its a lock at 9. If we didnt pick Sanderson with of those id be bummed. Our D needs that kid.
