I don't care about whose fault it is. If the cap is flat or goes up by 3M, there still remains the same proportion available to each team. As many have speculated, guys are going to take less this offseason. - belcherbd
But I am not the one crying about signings players , it is you guys
Jeezus Christ man If you haven't heard I am the one saying all along things will be fine while I have a bunch of people in here telling me you can't trade a 16 goal sniper who gets paid 6 mil

Sort of. I mean he still brought in Ferland, Benn, Myers and traded for 2 more players. I agree the roster is getting better and deeper however. - golfingsince
Depth has created a lot of competition. Always a good thing to have & assets to move. |

Vancouver Canucks 8 th in overall scoring last year with 228 goals . Boeser had 16 of them. |

The entire roster returning next season isn’t happening. A key player or 2 is likely gone. Is it a bad thing. I don’t think so. Turnover with more kids earning a spot will alleviate things. How well they will do idk but looking forward to it. |

Lets see who performs in the PO’s. We don’t know yet who has that PO gear in their bag. |

What's your point?
Should we take him out of the win column for JB's drafting? Hughes only had 8 of them.
I'm not sure why you're trying to marginalize BB's importance to the young core. There's that wrist injury and 29 goals as a rookie. To suggest he's a 16 goal scorer is asinine when it's by far his lowest total. |

Bo Miller TT Pearson i feel confident in for the PO’s. Petey is in for an eye opener. If he warriors it out & stops looking to the ref for a call he will do just fine. Hughes is a lock & everyone else feed off of him & goals should come fairly easily. Tanev will be Tanev. Marky has to come in with no rust.
Everybody else needs to find the PO gear. |

It is his latest total. He had a wrist injury and a back injury , he is a slower skater and he has been bumped off the top line to the second line which is more of a shut down line and his game in his own end has holes .
I think anyone expecting him to score 29 goals playing with Bo and Pearson is dreaming. In fact I think after a while he gets moved down to Gaudettes line |

The idea recently floated, not sure by if by you, was that trading Boeser clears up cap to sign Toffoli or whoever.
That, in my opinion, would only occur if you don't have the cap to keep both.

I can easily see him scoring 30 goals. Tofolli has played 10 games on the top line so it's not like he's a lock there for eternity.
Like I said before, if we get a good return i'm fine with trading him. I actually have been for years back when it was taboo. But there's a lot of dead weight on the team i'd rather move on from if we're just freeing up cash to sign TT. |

A healthy Boeser & PP time will be 25+ goals with Bo. The line lacks a playmaker but as a unit could find some mojo. If with Gaudette not all bad if balanced scoring through 3 lines. That is a tough task for any opponent to match or defend. For Brock to be with AG somebody has to push him down & at present there is not a likely player to do that. If JV goes bonkers & is top 6 well we are looking pretty. |

I personally don't want both on the team. I think in 3 weeks we are going to see what a 6 million dollar boeser brings when he is playing on Line two. I sure as hell remember a lot of people complaining about his wrist shot last year. Three months away from the game makes people forget.

you’re doing some sad cherry picking.
Boeser is one of the best goal scorers in the past 5-7 years. There’s proof to back that up. |

Because it suits his argument. No mention of leading the rookie of the year race until he destroyed his back. |

He had a very good first year and half a second year. Like I said to Belcherd we will find out what he is made of in three weeks.

Ferland Gaudette JV
or if somebody rises up
Miller Petey Boeser
TT Bo JV
Pearson Gaudette Ferland
Miller Petey TT
Pearson Bo Ferland
JV Gaudette Boeser
Miller Petey TT
Pearson Bo JV
Ferland Gaudette Boeser
Key is all about who can elevate to a high level. My only issue is Idk if Green can find his way to allowing it to happen let alone if it could happen. |

Always a good idea to trim cap on the bottom 6. My choice. If it costs picks/prospects are you ok with that? |

And two years ago he scored 29 in 62 games as a healthy ROOKIE on the 5th worst team in the league with the 4th lowest goal total - see how that works bud?
Again - what makes you think injuries won’t heal and a 23 year old won’t improve? |

I want both on the team til another RW pushes one out. JV? Maybe but hasn’t shown it’s happening. Podk? Probably but earliest is next May 1st. Lind? Wouldn't that be sweet but a dream.

What he does in a best of 5, post COVID (3 months off) first time playoff experience is certainly not going to define sh$t about this kid and his future. you’re argument here is sad - to the point where even Marwood and I agree. Cmon just stop and let’s move on. |
