What he does in a best of 5, post COVID (3 months off) first time playoff experience is certainly not going to define sh$t about this kid and his future. you’re argument here is sad - to the point where even Marwood and I agree. Cmon just stop and let’s move on. - Brooks_Light
I think it will go longer than 5 games . |

Always a good idea to trim cap on the bottom 6. My choice. If it costs picks/prospects are you ok with that? - Nighthawk
I agree with Belcher that we're likely better off losing a pick then a good young contributor. I don't really like it though at all. |

I said before Jake Brock and Toffoli will be auditioning for a spot. - VANTEL
Maybe on contract but the Canucks will be better off with all of them in the top 9 providing balanced scoring. Until the next group of prospects prove themselves you keep what you know works. This is a good thing. More options for later. |

But I am not the one crying about signings players , it is you guys
Jeezus Christ man If you haven't heard I am the one saying all along things will be fine while I have a bunch of people in here telling me you can't trade a 16 goal sniper who gets paid 6 mil
Seriously ? It will be okay breathe - VANTEL

I'm just as uncomfortable as you are.
I'm fine with trading Boeser for a good, young defenceman but it would be a step backward to trade him to keep Toffoli. |

Agreed.
An entirely backwards way of thinking. |

I fawking hope so!! I seriously think they’re gonna wipe Minnesota’s a$$ |

you’re doing some sad cherry picking.
Boeser is one of the best goal scorers in the past 5-7 years. There’s proof to back that up. - Brooks_Light
Yup, and the year Benning signed Eriksson he was scoring at the same pace as Kucherov, Panarin, and Gaudreau. |

A bitter pill to swallow but necessary. Many teams in a good position face tough decisions. |

Absolutely - Agreed
It would be ideal if they could keep both Somehow- obviously difficult to do but One not so far fetched scenario could be to package Pearson or Roussel (who I think have the most value) & Dipeitro or Demko (depending on if they keep Marky) for a decent young D man |

I don’t see TT & Brock linked together.
Building a top 6 & trading them out makes no sense. Only Pearson is a questionable top 6 but he & Bo fit well together. So he’s more of the 3rd wheel compliment on the 2nd line. TT is similar but with more all around talent. 3rd line has good pieces but lacks a playmaker to round it out & still needs to improve 200’ play as a unit.
Prospects pipeline has the top 9 looking pretty darn good. Now the D... |

Works for me. TT plays either wing if it helps line combos. |

Oh you mean the year when Loui was 30 and those other guys were 20-21?? Yup that’s the same....excellent comparison! 🤙 |

Boeser isn't going anywhere. Benning isn't going to move one of his best top 3 picks lol.
But agree moving BB to keep TT is crazy!!!!!

What's crazier is how this became a thing with zero indications coming from the Canuck side. Talk about absurd speculation. If BB ever gets moved its to improve the roster in another position of weakness. |

It's just media garbage to generate hits. Yes the D needs to b rebuilt around Hughes but there are ways to do it without trading BB. It will get handled by Benning. |
