Apparently Bennings

That is okay though there are 50 experts here that could do the job in their sleep.

Might as well not criticize Gillis's drafting. He's a pro!

With this fan base it doesn't surprise me at all.

I would be shocked if they didn't flip out. They are not real fans

- VANTEL

They are all real fans just with added adjectives...

Flip flopper fans
Bandwagon fans
Selfie fans
1/2 empty Fans
1/2 full fans

Add your own lol

I guess 2020 snipers are different from the old days of Matthews and Laine.

New snippers now have 29, 26, and 16 goals . Millennials

The league has about five "snipers", Brock Boeser isn't one of them, however, he's a damn good 23 year old goal scorer that the Canucks haven't seen in a draft class for many years.

Gillis took another route on drafting. Traded away picks to avoid the scrutiny. The Mother Hubbard the cupboard is empty ploy.

How much are you paying players? Marky 10 mil per?

Toffololi is an expired contract. Next year if Sutter walks away I guess we still have cap issues

- VANTEL

I would guess both Markstrom and Toffoli will cost between 5-6 per year. Might be more for Toffoli depending on the interest league wide.

There is no way that Benning traded for Toffoli and didn't intend on resigning him.

Boeser is a 30-35 goal potential. That’s my opinion. The scoring depth is looking good with or without him. His sniping is what we are not so deep on & can change outcomes. Our top 6 whomever they are next season are all capable of 20 goals or more with even a 3rd liner or more potting 20 possibility. If we promote an offensive D man on merit it makes us a very deep scoring team.

That's pre-covid pre new CBA flat fixed cap guessing. But yes JB traded for Toffoli to sign him he had interest before and has been saying so since.

All true. 6m is pushing it with the flat cap.

Trading Boeser to keep Toffoli is indictative of Benning's ineffectual management and pro scouting. After drafting, he sucks at every aspect of the job including choosing a coach.

You’re blaming him for something that hasn’t even happened - you don’t see a problem with that?

I just find it hilarious that we've criticized anybody that has ever played , coached or been GM before but all of a sudden Benning is off limits.

Only for some, everyone and everything is open for criticism when you've been a failed franchise for 51 years. Benning is a part of that history just like every manager before him.

There's been some great things happen for the franchise, including in the Benning era, but they've never won....so the floor is open to voice displeasure.

Blachhawks won 3 and their fans were constantly criticizing Q, Bowman, etc.

Making it a Boeser gone to keep TT in itself is simplistic. What happens or not usually is over analyzed & construed into something else.

Not arguing I agree young 16 goal snipers that only cost 6 mil a year don't grow on trees.
