They faced easier competition than the Leafs did.

2018-2019 RS series: Islanders 2-1 against Leafs. Outscored their awesome offense 11-3.

Is there any competition easier than the Leafs? Toronto's problem is they lack character and toughness. Anytime the going gets tough they drop their pants, stick their asses in the air and let the opposition have their way with them.

Yep. Like I said earlier, go the Toronto route and sell the future. Toronto cap hit is 81 million, but their salary is 101 million. I haven't figured it out completely, but it looks like Toronto will carry a cap hit for years after trading or buying out any of those signing bonus players.
