I'm guessing it has to do with him being on an AHL-only contract this season.

2 more hires to keep the teams lean

"Pegula Sports & Entertainment President & CEO Kim Pegula today named two executives to the senior leadership team. Jason Sinnarajah joins the Buffalo Bills as senior vice president of business administration, while Mike McFarlane has been named PSE senior vice president of finance and administration."

I’m glad Pegula Sports & Entertainment President & CEO Kim Pegula can work so seamlessly with President and CEO of the Buffalo Bills, Kim Pegula and the president and CEO of the Buffalo Sabres, Kim Pegula. Synergy at its finest.

I noticed the skunk haters had nothing on this from earlier today

in his first 5 full seasons in the NHL, he is 69th in the entire NHL

https://www.quanthockey.c...easons-players-stats.html

in the last 3 seasons, he is 69th in the entire NHL

https://www.quanthockey.c...easons-players-stats.html

tied for 59th for last 2 seasons

https://www.quanthockey.c...easons-players-stats.html

subtract the d men from the list and he is consistently top 60 on a 31 team league

Yes they took 10mill to help with payroll but that ended Monday. They took a bunch of money from the state years back to help with there Derby plant and ended up closing it anyway.

Wouldn't say much about them cause every business is hurting right know, but they have done some lowly poop in the past, and deserve everything they get.

Where is KC coming up with this cap room, they want to build a dynasty, well they better hope the cap doesn't drop after next year, they might have to tear it down just as quick.

I like Dvorak, think he could be a sneaky little steal, one of those players who needs a change of scenery to take it to the next level. I think you mentioned it in another post I wrote about him, feels like he could be another Briere.

I like Zacha from the Devils in that category as well.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him blossom into a solid 200 foot player in his prime

Cool, we might get a little more for him then when he is dealt. Let's see, 5 years a Sabre and nuttin' in terms of winning.

We'll agree to disagree. He is the Sabres Limp Bizkit but we'll have you sell him around the league to get bang for him on the trade market.

I could see that with him, but NJ isn't hurting for cap space. What would it take to get him do you think.

Throughout Sabres history who would you compare Reinhart to?

I mean Eichel, Perreault, Lafontaine were top centers they had different styles but they were the face of the franchise that the team leaned on and produced.

Turgeon was a level below but he put up some big-time points, had some nice hands, could skate, and turned into a franchise player when he left.

Rick Martin was a natural goal scorer as was Mogilny, different styles but that was their job.

ROR and Peca were leaders and could play both ends of the ice, ROR is better, they both have character

What player is kind of slow, doesn't drive the line, or play the point on the PP (Robert, who could skate as well) and Robert was on the greatest lines in Sabres history.

Gare was comparable to? He was unique, small but tough and could score, I think you could call him a natural goal scorer as well.

Reinhart is not Danny Briere who scored 90 pts one season, was a captain and could skate

He is no Drury who was a true leader, scored when needed, and was a competitor.

He is no Vanek. I mean if Vanek scored half the goals and was smaller maybe. You could often wonder if they are dressed that night so that is comparable.

I'm not sure if there was a player comparable to Reinhart before and if we want to call him unique then there you have it.

Pommer? Hecht? Not Spectacular, just solid hockey players... personally, I like Sam. He’s a solid hockey player and you build around solid hockey players. The question is at what price.

If you envision cozens or mitts or roustilian or some other draft pick carrying the 2c water in 1-2 seasons, you just need to find that stop gap 2c... a change of scenery guy like strom.... a aging vet like Henrique or Krejci (has anyone looked at poaching someone from the Bruins).... or the cap almighty Bjustead, he had surgery, he will be better now... and I think you can do that with the d pieces, picks and/or prospects.

My first thought is a swing for the fences, see if you can pry someone from a cap strapped team, that’s your Tampa duo or the clown mentioned Dvorak... and I’d use the d surplus, the 8th overall and or prospects to get there. The worst case in this scenario is you end up with too many centers. And is that really a bad thing?!?

Skinner. Jack. Samson.
Olo. Dvorak/Cerelli (trade). Anderson (trade)
Mojo. Cozens. Kahun.
Pick one. Lazar. Okposo

There is a lot to it:

A source with inside knowledge of the negotiations said PSE has been working with New Era for "well over a year" to restructure the deal to support their business.

The change comes as NFL teams continue to develop alternatives to recoup potential lost revenue if fans, or a limited number of fans, are allowed in stadiums this season. Across the league, stadium revenue accounts for $5.5 billion, including tickets, concessions, sponsors, parking and team stores, according to Forbes. The Bills stand to lose $104 million of $386 million in total revenue if no fans are allowed, Forbes said.

The News reported in May that the Bills were examining seating models for 15%, 33% and 50% capacity. New Era Field has a listed seating capacity of 73,079. The Bills have not announced plans for reduced capacity, although teams around the league have unveiled plans in recent days, with the City of Philadelphia saying they expected no fans this season to watch the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Bills are among two-thirds of the teams in the league that have offered season ticket holders the option of opting out from their 2020 tickets with no penalty and to resume in 2021.

Among the potential offsets for lost stadium revenue is a new initiative approved by NFL owners last month that allows the first eight rows to be covered with advertising banners that would be visible on television broadcasts. That could be an option for the Bills, especially with a schedule that has a number of national television appearances.

For New Era, the end of the naming-rights deal accentuates the difficulties the company has faced over the last two years, even before the coronavirus pandemic forced the shutdown of sports that are so vital to its business. And the circumstances around the early end of the arrangement draws a stark contrast to where New Era stood in August 2016, when CEO Chris Koch joined Bills officials for a celebratory news conference announcing the deal on the 20-yard line of the stadium........................

I don't feel comfy posting the whole thing

Dude, it's the Buffalo News, they give you ten free articles a month, it's not a paper that's behind a perpetual paywall like The Athletic or something, and even they occasionally have totally free articles, relax, go to Pornhub if you want to report something.

Welp, if the profit money printing business side of the Pegula's empire know as the NFL Buffalo Bill's is taking additional financial hits in addition to loss of significant gate revenue, I do wonder if the Superyacht will be downgraded in size and amenities?
