Henrique has negative value. His contract is higher then his value on ice. He is someone that I would want a player to TAKE him, not give up something for him.

I think you are way overvaluing Henrique here and this would go down as one of the worst trades in Sabres history. Throwing away the 8th overall in a strong draft when we have few prospects for an aging center with 3 years left on his contract that pays him pretty well. I think that is crazy, Okposo has what one year left and had value on the 4th line last year. Move away and aim higher.

Is the 8th pick worth the difference between an old Henrique or Okposo? No. Henrique makes 5.825 a year for 3 more years. If we made that trade we would all be looking at who was picked at 8 and saying damn, he could have been a Sabre but all we have is this lousy old guy counting down the days to retirement.

Disagree strongly. Okposo is a 3rd/4th line grinding winger. Henrique was on a 30 goal pace as a center. We need the latter desperately. We don't need Okposo at all

It was just something brought up by EK, and said that if they find away to resign Markstrom that Demko could be a trade chip. 4 Teams have talked to the Canucks about Demko and the Sabres are one of them. Some reporter from Vancouver said there's less than 10% chance both are back next year.
