it will be interesting to see what shape casey comes into camp in, and what drive he has
- homiedclown

If he shows the maturity by taking the bull by the horn, then I'm all for giving him the chance...the $990 1 yr prove it deal stands though.
Help him understand that Rhino had inconsistency issues then put it together in his last half of his contract year....resulted in $3.6 m per..."Casey, you have missed out on $2.7m for this upcoming season...let's get you to be back on track"

Yup.
Nobody's taking him, Sabres stuck for 1 more year.
Use it to see what Ullmak can do as undisputed 1st.
They may find they have a suitable guy right under their nose...his stats are saying just that.

- IonSabres

I am not saying get rid of Ullmark, I want to see what he's got to, Demko would be your 1b getting 30 or so starts to see what he can do, and he's 2mill cheaper then Hutton.

I'd rather see what we have in Johansson then overpay for the next jack campbell
- homiedclown

That's fine, I have no problem with that.

I get it, no real savings if they dispatch Hutton to the A ((if they even have a season).
I'm ok seeing what Hutton gives for next season...again, IF it truly was a vision issue and it is corrected.

Kong39 did a nice job of dispelling the myth that the blame for those 13 loses rests solely on Hutton. The team didn't score enough either. To me, that is what needs fixing.

No thank you. Johansson and .894 save percentage did not look ready last season.

That's cool, I rather go another route, he has disappeared 2yrs in a row, maybe not all him. But he hasn't been good enough.

I don't think anybody believes Hutton and his .898 save percentage last year were good enough, but he's not a priority concern.

That title goes to the lack of scoring forward (Center and Wing) depth and the team's consistent inability to understand what a quality defenseman looks like.

I am not saying scoring isn't a issue, or D but they can improve all 3 area's this year with the right moves. But better goaltending to me especially your back-up goaltending is a must.

What do you mean, he is rated the highest rated prospect breakout goalie ready for the NHL. If Spector's is right, I don't see 4 or 5 teams calling on Johansson's availability. Maybe he will never hit his potential but I would take him over Hutton until we see what is up with UPL
- Buff36

I couldn’t find the Spector rankings. But every ranking I looked at had upl ranked over demko. The only difference is demko is closer to the nhl now.

Maybe he should have? Cryin Ryan had a hell of a career. Never really reached the top though. Couldn’t seal the deal

cody glass 12 points in 39 games in nhl and has a ton of upside

casey picked 2 spots later 39 points in 114 nhl games , 25 points in 36 ahl games is an afterthought

- homiedclown

People have to understand casey could be a top 15 player he just chooses not to be he has zero ambition and its sickening ..

How hard is it to workout and eat right knowing at the end you will get paid for life

we shall see how he responds when training camp opens up

I saw a video today of a guy that lost 200 lbs in a year to ride a roller coaster, surely casey can lose his baby fat

Can they re-name the stadium while it is a MLB stadium? Being the name of a hot dog producer just doesn't seem very major league.

Campbell has a 91.6 save% and a 2.58 gaa in 64 games.

Is it going to be $78M? $70M?

If it's only $3M under the cap limit, big deal.

If it's more than $10M under, it matters.

Last 8 games of this contract year for the inconsistent sam that put it together late in the contract year

8 gp. 0 goals 0 assists 0 points -9 +/-

In Sam's defense, eichel was clearly hurt near the end of the year, so..........
