This.

And (frank) that top 10 pick.

Go get a center if you're trading him.

- Powerslave

That's it, if you are gonna trade him, trade for something that helps us next year, not 2 to 3yrs down the road.

Should get you a 2C, a hole at 1RW and Borgen in the lineup every night.

This is good?

No, but still creates the issues. Where do we replace a 4-6D and a 1RW cheaply?

Seems to be trading one issue for another. 2C may be more important, just not sure it's a net gain in the long run if we need to go out and acquire replacements after.

Some have been saying this same repetitive narrative for a couple of years. He is 33% of their top line, 20% of their PP, 33% of their OT when he is on the ice and they end up being lottery picks every year and now people think 7 million for 5-6 years is just fine.

Couldn’t the exact same thing be said about Risto, who you’re a big fan of, and has played a jillion x more minutes

sure then you can trade, and move assets for an often injured boeser or one arm anderson

so many people on this site undervalues how durable reinhart is

he has yet to miss a game to injury and is our only winger that gets in front of the net

after year 3, more often then not, Vanek would miss 12 % of a season due to injury

im not saying i am for or against trading him because i think it comes down to what he wants on the contract.

But i feel like 2C is the harder position to fill compared to the ones we are creating. Plus if down the line Cozens becomes a 2C either him or the newly acquired one could possibly play 1RW.

just spit balling.

The Panthers have been mediocre forever...think they will sell us Barkov on the cheap because he's to blame for their lack of cups?

There's a reason rinehart has "mixed reviews " from the hockeybuzz fan base.

Sometimes when people tell you something, there is a definitive reason.

Sam is not a core NHL player on the Sabres.

Aside from the points, please explain the must sign attitude around here

- Boss34

Well we desperately need more scoring, right?
Doesn’t make much sense to move one of the guy who’s actually producing...

if casey and cozens are nhl ready

the 3 biggest holes on this roster is a top 6 RW
a top 4 LD
perhaps a goalie

the mixed review comes from the ability or lack of ability to get an autograph

Just trade sam for a top ten draft pick

We can draft a superstar with our pick and take the next price in Askarov and take the Jordan staal in Lundell..

But honestly if we get a another top ten pick i want Jarvis

- gerbe75pts

U think Jack would be cool with that?
I think he’d be pretty p!ssed

Like the first part. I think Reinhart at any contract in the 6M range is a good value. Beyond that, he becomes tradeable.

However, just would argue the "down the line we can figure out 1RW" is kind of making my point. We can't afford to do that without a replacement. If we can't get a 1RW in, and for cheap, we should avoid trading Sam. He's the only top6 RW we have. Cozens is a maybe there. IF we are sheltering him from 2C, we shouldn't put him on the top line instead, right?

Agreed, his durability is great. Think every team needs a few guys who can be counted on to stay healthy. Not to bring up a previous argument, but Pommer had the same thing. Ironman when it came to just getting on the ice. Think it matters a lot. Can't have too many MoJos or things fall apart when injuries stack up.

So you're willing to roll the dice and go into training camp to *see if Cozens and (lol) Mitts are ready for 2C duties?

And what happens when they fall short?

Yet another year on the outside, looking in.
