Sure and I’d say 20% of those seasons ticket holders reside in Niagara Falls, St.Catherines, Grimsby, Hamilton, and Toronto Ontario.

I’m sure a lot of people buy seasons tickets as an investment product as well (maybe not so much the last few years). So how many people would buy seasons if they weren’t able to make a nice markup on the games they decide to not go to if it weren’t for all the Canadians that come across the border ?

Believe me I go to at least 4 games a year and judging by the lineups at the border after every game (including games against smaller market U.S teams) half that building every night are Canadian citizens.

You’re welcome

If Canada (and Lake Erie) didn't inhibit WNY from having 360 degrees of suburbs like many cities have those towns, cities would be Buffalo suburbs and the Buffalo market would be bigger in terms of population. In terms of geography they are like Buffalo suburbs, secondary and tertiary. They get Buffalo TV so they do have some Buffalo affiliation I think just because of how they are familiar with it.

I think if more people wanted to live in Buffalo, places like Akron, Sanborn, Elma, Eden and Aurora to name a few, would be more like Amherst and Clarence

I would love to see a Risto and Sam, perhaps another piece for a #2 center and a good winger in his first contract. That would be the blockbuster.

I don't think they will go the tank route as you describe.

Sam goes Eichel will follow. Full blown rebuild.

I think if there was 360 degrees of suburbs around Buffalo, closer to Buffalo and the water and the border was pushed further towards Toronto then the Southern tier you mention the population would be plentiful

You’re nuts if you think an out of market fan is the same as a fan that was born and raised in the area of the home town team. You think a Yankee fan from Buffalo is as big of a fan as a Yankee fan from Staten Island? They’re not. There’s more emotional attachment to your home town team. Don’t put your b’y Gipper in the same category as you. You’re a fraud that picks your favorite team based on who is good at the time.

Fouttahere with that bs knight warrior. It takes balls And a lack of Humility to be a sabres fan in southwestern Ontario. People ask me my fav team I tell them and they laugh and say why? Having played the sport at. A high level,I know what hockey is and know how to lower the boom. Don Luce used to live around the corner from me until 4 yrs ago and Keith Gretzky used to come to my travel hockey practices with Craig Simpson used to see that naked when they changed out of their old school blue onesy long Johns in the dressing room and my brothers friends cousins is that coach Chris Taylor they ignominiously fires last week. One time a buddy of soupy bummed a smoke off of me during the 2006 playoffs and I knew Cody McCormicks cousint. Ramon Ndur lives in. My town and I used to work with a guy that was BFF with Daren Puppa. Cory perry tried to do the humpspank with my bro’s wife when they were dating and I know a guy who’s BFF with Bobby Ryan. That’s what we call dedication.

As far as I know, your regular blogger is still around...and I don't want to speak for him...but from what I gather he has other time commitments that are limiting his ability to write as frequently as he used to.

For me, I seem to write a yearly blog in the My HockeyBuzz section, kind of a cathartic exercise more than anything...get stuff off my mind, not expecting anyone to read it. I wrote that first article a couple of weeks ago. On Monday, I found an email in my junk mail saying that the article was going up on the main page...and would I be interested in writing more regularly?

So hopefully I'm not boring you guys to death...I took the gig kind of hesitantly...it's a tough time of year to come up with ideas to write about...but also hopefully I can improve my writing as time goes on.

Love the feedback...I'll try not to take things too personally

Yes he did, and played well with him too.

I thought Sam would eventually become ROR's replacement. But they never gave him a solid chance at C.

I haven’t watched a ton of him but I don’t think he is much of an upgrade if an upgrade at all from a Hutton that can see.

Interesting, a lot of what I read is he has a very high upside, and played pretty good on a bad team.
