he brings up some interesting discussion points. people see through the political games being played and are sick of the horsesh1t being shoveled by all the tanners.
honest and open dialogue is needed from multiple to viewpoints in order to work towards solving current social issues. the finger pointing and insults from the tanners that only serve to shut down discussion needs to end. a lot of empathy is needed right now.
though -will disagree on the privilege issue. The real issue - and there is probably 90% bi-partisan support on this - is political privilege. This is one of the biggest issues that needs to be addressed; on both sides of the aisle.

Hall meeting with team for potential contract with his agent, John Chayka not invited.
That’s probably bad for his future in Arizona, but who knows with the Yotes! |

He's meeting with the Yotes? Why would Chayka not be involved? |

Chayka signed his new deal with previous ownership. Seems like he is getting cut out but who knows. |

Chayka actually signed his extension with the current owner. |
|
|
|
Yes you are right I had thought he signed just before the new owner took over.
Still puzzling why he was not involved. |

I think the new exec Gutierrez is in charge of the financial side of things while Chayka runs the hockey side. Hey though, we have a blogger who covers the team. I wonder why he didn't report that Hall met with ownership? Must just be a minor oversight. Maybe he was in a long line for take out at Wendy's.

Jimmy is too busy having his lunch fed to him daily by Leafs fans on "FanSided." He's following the Leafs camp. No time for the Coyotes. Check out the comments section. Hilarious stuff!
Jimmy doesn't seem to spew his political venom on there. Accountability is always good. That doesn't exist on hockey buzz. Well not with Jimmy Troller anyways. This guy calls himself a "Toronto Maple Leafs expert"?

Yup - zero character, principles or empathy.
Clueless to his racism. The worst type of person; because he sees zero fault in what he does or say and will never improve as a person. He will only get worse. - Tumbleweed
Ignorant people like this moron think they stand atop some moral high ground when they are in fact everything they attempt to super impose on everyone else. They’re just to dense to realize it. It’s embarrassing to watch but strangely entertaining in small doses. |

Was checking out the payroll of the Yotes and have reached the conclusion that every single forward with the exception of Taylor Hall and Conor Garland are overpaid. Some grossly. And defence isn't much better. You talk about Tocchet not being a good coach. How on earth does Chayka keep his job? Seriously how? When Hall walks, not if when, what does he have to show for that swing? Nothing! As he watches Fitzgerald make his teams first round pick. It's laughable |

Unfortunately for you, I have the numbers. I doubt I became one of the most read writers in Toronto sports just due to people hate-reading me, but if that's the case, then I welcome it.
A few trolls in the comments section aren't going to bother me, especially when most of them ruin any good points they may make by completely dismissing evidence or using hate speech. Then there are the typo guys, lol." |

The Wendy's comment is no different than labelling all Trump supporters as racist and evil. I shared the story of my best friend. He's an entrepreneur in the US with his own construction business. Employs 20-30 people. He's a multi-millionaire. He told me he didn't really like some of Trump's comments. He thinks he's got a huge ego. But at the end of the day, he said he votes for the party that I think will create the best environment for my business to thrive. Trump promised to cut taxes, and eliminate a bunch of red tape and regulations that small businesses are killed by. And Trump delivered exactly that. My buddy has saved tens of thousands of dollars per year just from some of the easier regulations on hiring new employees. It seemed like a pretty logical, rational approach to making a choice in an election.
But Tanner called my friend evil, and a racist. Never met him. But has all kinds of labels. Simply because he made a rational decision.
Intelligent stuff Tanner. Keep it up. |

Tanner's analysis of the Leafs cap situation is hysterical. He makes up a fantasy and then ignores the numbers while saying he has the numbers. Can't make it up. Leafs have 4.5M in cap space with needing to re-sign or replace 2 top 4 NHL defenseman along with a number of forwards. Yet thinks the Leafs will be players for Hall or Pietrangelo without mentioning making any other moves. They could elevate Dermott but he also has to be re-signed. He's going to get a substantial raise.
He then makes the following comments in another article
https://editorinleaf.com/...aple-leafs-nhl-contracts/
"The main reason the Leafs cap situation is good today, is that they have (with two notable exceptions in Tavares and Muzzin) refused to give term or money to players approaching 30 year of age."
"The Leafs have decided to pay their core players and fill out the roster on the margins. Time will tell if this is a sound strategy, but for now, you can’t say the Leafs have a “problem” if they are doing exactly what they want."
So he makes 2 exceptions for the Leafs, well because they're doing what they want to do! He then lists other players on other teams whom he deems a bad contract solely based on age. Those teams don't get the exceptions that the Leafs get! This guy can't write a single thing objectively. Without his bias. He exposes himself on a daily basis. Don't worry though, if you point out the flaws in his writing well you just can't think outside the box or lack critical thinking. I give him credit though. Multiple sites have hired him to write for them. He's quite the salesman. |

This is Tanner's MO. He makes outlandish statements. Readers quickly identify the hypocrisy. But then he conveniently starts allowing for exceptions. He has said that if you are NOT a top 6 forward or top 2 d-man, then you should get paid $1M or less. So the Caps paying Lars Eller $3.5M is stupid. Someone could do the same job for $1M. But Hjalrmarsson at $5M is an exception because he's great at defense. As for cap-strapped teams fitting in Hall and Pietrangelo, well he seems to think moving out contracts is easy. He has said the Coyotes could very easily trade away Stepan, Schmaltz, Dvorak, Goligoski. Just wave a magic wand and other teams will line up for these guys, without making you take any junk in return. Instant cap space!!
