in between those subsets...I see him as very comparable to Carolina's
Svechnikov, in that they both have toughness and use it and good instincts and play at a higher pace than the average player...
I dont think you can attempt to compare him with one of the quickest powerful skaters in McDavid, and Mathews has proven to be that he is a better stronger player, scorer and horse than I expected.
You WISH that Lafreniere CAN reach franchise level player status, but I think he can be an impact player but he just always a notch better when playing with other dominant guys.
Like a superstitious hockey player or the baseball silence when a no hitter is happening, I did not want to mention the Dach-Lafreniere connection, that I would blow our chances if we lost in the first play in round....
