I think they're probably in a good spot with either goalie but to be fair, Varlamov has also been very good against FLA (.922 SV%) over a larger sample size than Greiss (12 GP vs 8 GP). I'd also argue that Greiss wasn't any better than Varlamov at the end of the year.

Like you said though, Greiss has been great against Florida and I'm pretty confident in either goalie.

No one knows what to expect after this long layoff. I think they have to go with whoever looked better in camp for the first game and take it from there.

Any advantage in net is mostly due to the defensive structure and commitment of the team playing in front of them. A great deal of Bob's struggles this year stem from the haphazard team defense the Panthers played most of the season. The last few games before the stoppage FL seemed to finally figure out that they couldn't just try to score 5 or 6 a night and be successful. If they continue that commitment to team D, Bob will most likely look more like Vezina Bob rather than Swiss Cheese Bob. Bob's problems this year (imo) were from him trying to do too much. He was too often anticipating and guessing rather than just tracking the puck and stopping it.

For sure. Comparing this years stats playing behind the same team, Var is 1-0, 2gaa and 946 SV%.

That's how I figure it. He leaned on both goalies all year with good results, so why change for the playoffs? One guy falters, slide the other one in.
