I’m not saying he can’t have flaws but everybody who played with or against him has nothing but high praise for him. I would be shocked if he doesn’t turn out to be the real deal

You read The Athletics article on him today?
Had a group of people saying they expect him to succeed.
Always a chance that he falls on his face getting used to the ice surface and living in the USA, however based on talent and his numbers in international and KHL competitions you would think he will make a smooth transition to a successful NHL career.

We can certainly use it!

I'm sure he will turn out to be the real deal. All I'm saying is don't get shocked if he needs a season or 2 in the AHL to fill some holes in his game. If he is able to cover them up with athleticism, he may indeed be the next Hasek.

The articles are old, but he hasn't changed his style at all. I think you'll have to wait for some net time before you'll see current articles. Watching the KHL is like watching good AHL teams go at it, with some real stars sprinkled in. JMO.
