Carter Hart looks pretty good and he's just about to turn 22.

Agree I just wanted to give Hart more time to see if it's a fluke.

Whatever, neither one of us wanted Juolevi. You wanted Sergachev and I wanted Chychrun. We both had people that agreed but others wanted a forward.

I think PLD was one of the most mocked guys to the Canucks.

Juolevi? He never moved the needle for anyone that I can remember before he was drafted at 5th overall. Yeah, great pick at 10 maybe.

They're all still kids at this point but he's well behind the other two. Hope he kicks it up soon.

I was OK with OJ. Worked the Mem Cup here in Red Deer and the kid looked unreal. So excited then the injuries started. Hope he rebounds. I used to hear the team teasing OJ that he was going to get drafted by Edmonton lol and he wasn't happy.

I don't think it is. Highly, highly touted goaltending prospect.

Fair enough. It's just an easy way to turn $20 wine into $40 or more wine.

I make my yearly trip to the Okanagan to stock up I like to support the non 'big box' wineries out there. In the meantime I look for great value that's why I'm bugging Vintsy and Cuban all the time...they know their sh!t.

Was he your guy at 5 pre-draft though? That's what I meant. I mean that was early and we knew Benning had a scouting background. I didn't agree with the pick but I put trust in it.

It's time for that pick to start playing some games. There's no 'giving him ice time' in the minors anymore as they don't exist. I want to see what we have.

Yeah that's cool. I used to like my trips to the Okanagan as well. Dad cellared wine, at the peak maybe a few hundred bottles. My uncle did as well. Donated a couple of cases to charity and they auctioned for 12 grand.

Hard to say I can't remember but I don't think he was Benning's first choice. But agreed it's time for that pick to start paying dividends. I think the Kid will rebound. Salo seemed to have huge faith in him.

To be honest I think it's easy enough if you buy from a region that's had a good growing year. Some misses, but plenty of hits.

Yes they do. Still, whiffing (yes they're still young) on those two top 6 picks hurts.

I am not sure about Juolevi. He can turn out to be a good Dman but right now he is inconsistent.

He's got Rathbone to deal with as well.

The pom poms in me want to chalk that up to his injury history or at least a good portion of it. I mean you want your top 5 draft picks to become more than a 2nd pairing guy and he's yet to show me that.

I am not writing him off we may have lucked onto a really good left side.

It’s not.

Within 2 years...he’ll be the world’d greatest goalie for a decade.

I will run out of fingers for all my cup rings!!!

Calgary thanks you for their franchise player.

I think he will be okay in the end , he just took the slow boat to get there. I really hope he comes through year . Having the three young guys on that side all have excellent puck moving skills. Need a little toughness on the right side. Tanev and Myers will probably be long term.

We will see in the next 6 months the shape of the D team.

Dude...your team spent 5 x 6 mill on a super shtty tyler myers because your team has 0 D Depth.

How long do you think it will take fletcher to trade ghost this fall with 2 years at 4.5m???
How many teams will want to get in on that sweepstakes???

If you don’t think there’s something decent coming the other way...if you think ghost will just be a salary dump...then you probably do believe that the canucks will win a cup some millennium...i believe that you believe!!

We are having fun discussing past drafts but as it has been mentioned before by a few of us , if we take Tkachuk there is no Petey and Hughes.

No problem.

Again...a MASSIVE organizational blunder.
