I've always thought "max deal" meant length of years?

Would think McDavid maxed out the deal without taking up 20% of the cap?

I have always heard a Max Deal referred to the % of Cap Ceiling...and Max Term meaning length.
McDavid's was like 16.7% of the Cap ceiling when signed. NHL Max % allowed is 20%.
Apparently no one has a Max Deal.

Everything I have read project shorter, lower contracts over next 2 - 3 years, with players signing shorter deals to get better longer term deals once the Cap starts going back up.
However, they also say the elite may not be as badly impacted.
Is RNH elite? I think he's more like Reinhart...very good, not elite.
He is putting together his best season though at 0.95sh ppg.
Will be interesting.

He has played alot of C and W though.

The Leafs need help on D and some grit maybe we can use a base of Sam and Risto with something need be for Mitch to help each team build the teams in the right way.

I don't know. I can see both sides. With all of the failures they probably should've seen that Hamilton's tires would've failed too, but then they probably thought Mercedes would bring him in to guard against that. I haven't read anything that said Red Bull were worried about Verstappen's tires, or that they weren't. You don't have a lot of time to decide. I think they made the right call at the time, try and get the extra point, though, who is going to challenge them for second? And it bit them on the ass.

The Sabres compared favourably to the Blue Jacekts and Isles.

We also defended quite well, not as well as the aforementioned but very close.

I still think goaltending is the glaring issue on the team even before a 2C. We should have made the playoffs even with our scoring issues with how well we defended.
