don't play the family card if your going to opt out
when they are not your family
I guess this younger generation was not raised with moral values

No, it's not. They moved him for two reasons:
1. Wanted to play in NY or FL.
2. UFA salary.
Go ahead and convince me they would be able to afford him. You can't possibly think Saad is even remotely close to the replacement that Artemi (frank)ing Panarin is. - TheSabresTaco
The only reason they moved him because he didn't fit the style and wanted saads 2 ways game this has been know for years Panarin never wanted to leave the hawks

could play second line center
was not drafted by the sabres
was not on sabres roster this past season
people thinking this team could be good in the fall
in other words, grasping at straws

He's mulling the decision for his kids. His family. And he has been personally impacted by COVID because his kids' grandfather (their family) died from the virus. It's absolutely, unequivocally, a family decision. (Edit: Great grandfather? Forgot)
He's well within his right to play the 'family' card, and any man has the right to protect his family over playing a (frank)ing game.
A few people tend to forget that his contract gets tolled for another season, and he loses an entire season to make money. He could potentially put off a giant extension for another year just to protect his kids.
I don't even see why people should be concerned with his choices to protect his family (children). |

I don’t remember Panarin saying that till he was in Columbus
Chicago did have an issue with his defense
And Toews was pissed they traded Saad & wanted him back |

Dach is making enough of an impact to move up in the lineup.
Sure it isn’t saying much considering neither Edmonton or Chicago could defend if their lives depended on it but I think Cozens can be in the running for the Calder if they play him on the wing to start.
They shouldn’t plan for him to play Center but it’s not impossible for him to grasp it by the end of the year.
Nick Suzuki doesn’t look out of place right now on the Habs 2nd line and Cozens is a better prospect. |

he needs to take the high road and not pout on twitter
he comes across more like antonio brown then the person we all thought he was 48 hours ago
instead of sounding off on twitter, actually spend some time soul searching what you want for the coming season

Bowman also talked about the chemistry that Toews has with Saad.
"The chemistry is there right away," Bowman said of Saad's return. "And his intensity and all-around game is second to none."
Its all about that D

While they will miss Panarin, Saad is a better two-way forward, and he will return to play alongside captain Jonathan Toews. The Hawks had struggled to find a replacement for Saad since he left. That is more important now that Marian Hossa is done.

Perhaps. I mean, I'd be pretty irritated if people berated me for a family decision I was trying to make.

What a (frank)ing joke. It was all about money and return. Imagine trying to defend that trade in a vacuum (salaries irrelevant) because Saad is better two way. (frank)ing Christ I feel like I'm taking crazy pills today. |

No one thought it made much sense at the time
At least i know i didn’t
I believe Panarin said he wanted to play in a “big city”
I think Chicago qualifies
But again... pretty sure none of that came out till he was in Columbus
Idk if he told Chicago he wouldn’t re-sign there or not?
But it’s assumed they didn’t wanna pay him big $$ bc they had Kane & Toews with big contracts
And it’s well known they didn’t like his defense & Toews wanted Saad back
They could’ve traded Panarin elsewhere & gotten more for him
Getting back Saad was important |
