This doesnt get better by putting out-of-town federal police into a city where they do not feel like these people are their neighbors. Operating in a cloak-and-dagger, confrontational way isn't helpful.

Regardless of your feelings on this issue, ask yourself "are these useful tactics?" My answer would be no, I dont think it's helpful. It perpetuates an antagonistic relationship.

If their mission stays restricted to what would be considered the legal provinces of Federal agencies, then there's no issue. If you have an issue with that, i would suggest you urge your representatives to introduce legislation that will limit Federal power. They are certainly not "the same thing as the SS".
