Back to sports for a second, its really a shame that the Bills are supposed to have a great team this year and may end up not even playing. Or playing without fans.
What a downer. - sgk56

It doesnt make it any less wrong though, you'd have to agree with that. By naming all the other scumbags that have been pardoned, is not justifying the actual action.
Regardless, I want to see the Blackhawks win the cup one last time. - atlsabsfan
I agree with this. Except the Blackhawks thing.

The cost of Center Ice and Sunday Ticket will likely reflect the lack of fans in the crowds... |

When watching the playoffs that begin soon, will you watch as impartial hockey fans, or will you pick a team to root for to make a Cup run? For those who temporarily adopt a team to cheer for, which team will you be rooting for this summer? - Ratsreign
Not going to watch something that gets canceled ..

So if they put Waco, TX cult members on their helmets, will that be OK? |

Private businesses can do what they want. They were within their rights to stop Kaep from kneeling, and they are also within their rights to allow the decals. is it a good business decision? Doubtful. It's a shame everyone didn't just recognize this, and ignore the kneeling when it started. Now it's a thing. Of course, the people now defending the right of private businesses are the same ones who were wailing about it 12 months ago. (and to some extent vice versa) What's far more concerning is the purging of news media of conservative voices, including most notably, and recently Bari Weiss being forced from the New York Times by a hostile work environment created by the Maoist Red Caps that infest the editorial room. An actual threat to free speech, and...crickets.

Phew. I'm glad none of the 8000 or so people Obama pardoned weren't scumbags. That FALN leader was a good guy. - Khmylev
You’re having a really hard time with pardon/commuting. Again, point me in the direction of a guy who’s sentence was commuted, who was convicted of 7 felonies, by a jury of his own peers.
Not a pardon on a plea deal with the government
Again, I’ll wait |

Private businesses CANNOT do what they want. Just ask those Christian bakers who were forced to make that cake. |

"Chelsea" Manning. Served 7 years of 35. so 28 years. your argument will be that at least he served time, but dude was literally a traitor, and Stone lied to crooked FBI agents who were actively trying to "get" people (Flynn). I can see how that's all the same. I can do this all day. |

Well yea...there are limits of course. I don't think kneeling or decals are quite the same, as they aren't necessarily "exclusionary". The baker is a different thing entirely. My take on that is a little more nuanced. I certainly am not a fan of cancel culture, or of playing gotcha with business owners of a religious bent. I wouldn't be supportive of forcing Islamic cashiers to serve alcohol either. At least not via government force. |

Yes, 7 years is a lot longer than 0.
I guess your answer is no, and the point stands that it’s not “normal” to commute a sentence of your friend before it starts, especially when the sentence was not part of a plea, and in fact was a jury trial. So by commuting that sentence, Trump is spitting in the face of the justice system, something you Republicans love so dearly.

Well I guess removing Aunt Jemima from the pancake box hasn't resulted in improved relations, nor removing Uncle Ben from the rice boxes hasn't improved relations, nor removing those poor Eskimos from the ice cream boxes hasn't resulted in improved relations, we should try decals. Oh yah, that'll work. More BS |

almost 30 people were shot in chicago yesterday alone
I don't care if they send the army to clean it up
all lives matter - homiedclown
It's really on one's business outside of Chicago and Illinois as well as anyone directly affected. All of a sudden Covid-19 anti-Federalists want to send in federal law enforcement for a local issue.
Pretty hypocritical...or politically devious.
Take your pick. |
