Following up on the Vogl article someone linked to earlier, here is his Part 2, which looks at potential trade options.
I haven't read it yet, but holy poop the Blackhawks are $8M over the cap before re-signing Kubalik and Strome (assuming John's numbers are accurate)! They had three big contracts on LTIR. - JetpackJesus

If we overpay he could be ours
Hell I would go 8th,sam,casey - gerbe75pts
they aren't taking sam. he will cost more than cirelli against the cap. they need cap relief, that's the whole point.
I'd do 8oa, a decent prospect and maybe a bit more with no cap influence. or just 8oa and a good prospect, pick your poison. at the most.
or just tear the whole damn thing down and get lean. I'm really not opposed at this point. |

I have feeling we will trade with the coyotes
Hopefully we get Dvorak and not Stepan with Raanta

I don't think we've seen a player develop an allergy to ice yet. Maybe one of them can try that? |

There's a strong possibility that Tampa would ask for the 8th overall AND Cozens.
I would if I were them, which is why he's not getting moved. |

Asplund can't score goals in the AHL, Lazar can't score in the NHL.
Larsson had the second highest GAR on the entire Sabres team..
But sure, cap savings
Someday we will actually be good - sbroads24
Larsson was the 2nd most important player to team success this season. He is a very good 3C (yes that’s not a typo) and the points will come if he isn’t playing with two of the worst offensive impact forwards in the entire league (Girgensons and Okposo).
Mojo-Larsson-Kahun would be a strong third line. |

There's a strong chance Larsson doesn't want to be back with Buffalo. I think the Sabres would extend him if he'd be interested in coming back, and he'd be the only UFA they'd want to bring back. |

When?
He's been in the league since Mitt Romney was running for president against Barack Obama and has never hit 20 points.

He flips the ice in the other direction. Even if he gets 25-30 points I’d like to think Mojo and Kahun would still get there 40 points.
Eichel managed to get 78 points this year and Reinhart had 28 points less. Eichel did benefit from Reinhart though no ? |

A "swing" at Puljujarvi isn't trading Mitts for him.
Yet. - Powerslave
I’m with ya
I’d rather “buy low” on Puljujarvi
Maybe our high 3rd would get it done?
Might take a 2nd though
I just said the Mitts swap bc Gerbe used that for Zadina, and others have said Mitts for Puljujarvi as well
I’d rather hang on to amity’s & see if he can grow up & put in the dedication to match his talent
Bc if we trade him, i doubt he’s got much value |
