He flips the ice in the other direction. Even if he gets 25-30 points I’d like to think Mojo and Kahun would still get there 40 points.
Eichel managed to get 78 points this year and Reinhart had 28 points less. Eichel did benefit from Reinhart though no ? - Pegullaville
Yeah but he's never done that. Your plan is to entice him to stay, which requires matching UFA prices - let's call it conservatively $3m on a 2 or 3 year deal - and expect at age 28, hes going to have a career year?
Let it goooooooo

I’m with ya
I’d rather “buy low” on Puljujarvi
Maybe our high 3rd would get it done?
Might take a 2nd though
I just said the Mitts swap bc Gerbe used that for Zadina, and others have said Mitts for Puljujarvi as well
I’d rather hang on to amity’s & see if he can grow up & put in the dedication to match his talent
Bc if we trade him, i doubt he’s got much value - jdfitz77

Laaksonen and Fitzgerald for prospects on the right
can always flip Dahlin to the right if Samuelson and Johnson both pan out - homiedclown
Don’t think Fitz is much of a prospect anymore
He’s a fringe player at best imo

If he had 20 EV points, and didnt play the PP at all it would be around what the following players produced this year
Mikael Granlund
Jamie Benn
Yanni Gourde
Oskar Sundqvist
It's absolutely enough for a 3rd liner with no PP time |

That’s a great breakdown of our cap situation imo
Looks pretty accurate to me |

how so? - Michael Pachla
gerbe logic, just ignore it and go on to the next post
asplund improved his ahl numbers in his second season overseas per game
got a cup of coffee in the nhl and held his own in his own end playing limited defensive minutes
not to mention the pk experience him and olofsson gained in rochester which will make them more valuable moving forward in the nhl
I look at asplund and olofsson today vs 2 years ago, and can't comprehend why taylor got the can in rochester |

The cut off for a larry is around 15 goals. If Grier was a Larry, he was the Larry King. The larry that all larrys aspire to be.
- jcragcrumple
Grier never scored 15goals with us
Had a total of 22 in his 3 season here
The year he was on a line with Drury,
he scored ONLY 7
Yet u hold him as a good top6 player,
and trash Larsson & Girgs as bottom6 players
Doesn’t make much sense?? |

Per Vogl, The Athletic:
Pittsburgh
The perennial Cup contenders are in cap trouble every year, yet they still manage to add players and win. But with eight RFAs – including the goalie tandem of Matt Murray and Tristan Jarry – something has to give.
Realistic target: Nick Bjugstad.
There’s always a concern with the words “spinal surgery,” which Bjugstad underwent in May to repair a herniated disc, but the risk to the Sabres is minimal. The 6-foot-6 center has just one year left on his $4.1 million contract before becoming a UFA. If healthy, Bjugstad is another option who’d allow Cozens and Mittelstadt to ease into the lineup.

Just gotta hope you can get 40 games out of him before he needs double leg replacement surgery.
My list of center candidates, ranked:
1.) Cirelli
2.) Monahan
3.) Hintz
4.) Henrique
5.) Soderberg
6.) Bjustead
7.) Sign Jochen Hecht from German beer league
8.) Do nothing - jcragcrumple

I get not wanting to overpay for Larsson.
But holy moly, I've never seen someone just refuse to even acknowledge the value a guy has brought to this team like Larsson has these past two years
He's taken ROR's defensive responsibilities and there has been 0 drop off (Defensively)
He's legitimately a top 20 defensive forward |

Larsson was the 2nd most important player to team success this season. He is a very good 3C (yes that’s not a typo) and the points will come if he isn’t playing with two of the worst offensive impact forwards in the entire league (Girgensons and Okposo).
Mojo-Larsson-Kahun would be a strong third line. - Pegullaville

That’s great
But J Crag’s main objection to Girgs & Larsson is that they don’t score enough
Yet he holds Grier up as the standard for a defensive forward
Except Grier doesn’t even meet the 15goals standard that J Crag is putting in the position
He had half that in the year he played with Drury
I was just contradicting his typical nonsense |

I know I have brought this up previously but someone on twitter said this and it will absolutely happen
Larsson will leave. Risto will be traded
We will get worse defensively because Larsson left, and people will blame it on Risto leaving |
