If Vince Dunn is truly available from the Blues, the Sabres should be calling trying to get him. |

I like the name, the colors, and the uniforms...I just wish there was an actual Kraken for the crest. I'm sure eventually we'll see a Kraken on a third jersey though. - kritter65
I appreciate their thinking in having the S as a tribute to the Metropolitans. The tentacle inside it is a nice touch, as is the red eye. Maybe it would've been better if the entire S were a tentacle?
The Space Needle anchor is a cool secondary logo.

He gets mainly offensive zone starts, so he and Dahlin both would need a more defensive minded and focused partner, but it would work.
My number one defensive target is still Weegar from the Panthers. |

Vogl has a really good article today in The Athletic about the teams that will be in cap trouble next year and potential targets. If there’s any year we can turn this around, 2021 will be the year |

any decent newer movies out there?

District 9 on Netflix was surprisingly good for an indie film. It’s a different kind of movie and sci-fi futuristic. But I was surprised how good it was. Very well done. |

Can we really call it an Indie film if Peter Jackson produced it though? It was definitely a "cheap" movie to make at $30M. I guess when you don't have to pay any big actors it's easy to make the money go a long way. |

Why would Dunn be available? Because they’re trying to keep Pietrangelo? Don’t think Dunn is projected to make that much |

The Blues already have $79.4M committed to the cap for next year, and they want to bring back Pietrangelo. Plus they already have Parayko, Faulk, and Scandella signed long term.
Dunn's next contract is between 2 years @ $2.6M per or 4 years @ $4M per.
So it's a combination of wanting to bring back Pietrangelo and how many defensemen they're planning on protecting in the expansion draft.
Wouldn't surprise me if the main reason they signed Scandella was to have him be the defenseman they don't protect. |

Yeah, it would kind of be surprising if they kept Scandella, signed Faulk to a ridiculous deal and traded Dunn |

Are they going to protect 4 defensemen in Pietrangelo, Parayko, Faulk, and Dunn?
They're going to expose Faulk 1 year into that massive deal? Maybe banking on Seattle being too smart to take him as their player selection?
In the mock expansion draft The Athletic did on July 2nd, they had Seattle taking, among their 11 total defensemen selected, Brandon Montour, Jake Bean, Julius Honka, MacKenzie Weegar, Jonas Brodin, and Brent Burns.
That would be some starting defense for Seattle. |

Teams always find a way to keep players. They could pay them to take a nobody.
Is Dunn worth a late first? |

Vegas got over on many teams via the payment method, and they still got good players as well.
With how much offensive zone deployment Dunn receives, despite how good he is, I'd say that's a bit much.
Weegar would be worth a late 1st.
I'd try a Sabres defensive prospect like Samuelsson, Borgen, or Johnson for Dunn and see if they'd listen as either a conversation starter or they're interested. |

Wat?
He had two 20 goal seasons before even getting to Buffalo.
Larsson has never had 20 POINTS, let alone 20 goals - jcragcrumple
Grier had 7 goals in 05-06 when he played with us & was on Drury’s line in the top6
23pts that year
And if u saw my first post,
I made it clear i was referring to when Grier played here in a defensive role
Grier with 7 goals = good
But Larsson with 6 goals = bad
I got it... you’re full of crap |

Link?
Dunn was one of the guys i wanted back for ROR if we couldn’t get Parayko
Idk what we’d give though?
Borgen or Samuelsson + a pick?
They can have Tage back 😂😂😂 |

Lol, you get so offended about Larsson. Settle down, killer. It's nothing personal
And 23 points is more than Larsson's ever had
Out of 14 seasons in the league, only 2 were below Larsson's career high points wise. Two 20 goal seasons, three 15 goal seasons.
Are you really arguing this? |
