I heard the piped in fan noise today at the Blue Jay game . Lame. - VANTEL
I’m watching the Diamondbacks game right now, you can hear it, especially when they hit one out....it’s not as unusual as you'd think. Glad to be watching.

I don't like it just because it is fake. I know there is no fans there so I don't go for the thought of them trying to trick me. I don't mind the no fan noise and hearing the players on the ice yelling.

Just wait till we hear the blurred out cusses from the players
I dont think any other sports will have a 5 second delay on broadcast for censorship.
They could have a two minute penalty for swearing - VANTEL
It's going to be hilarious. Anytime you watch a micd up segment on youtube of any player, you always hear chirps and swearing. I'm not sure how they are going to be able to blur it all out without taking away from the ambience of the game or whistles. It's going to be interesting.

That is the way it should go . The scrimmages are great . Apologize to the fans before hand.

Nothing new. Some NFL teams were exposed for doing this on broadcasts back in the early 2000's although the stands were not empty. They just wanted to supplement the lame crowd noise. It was running on a 20 second loop or something and it was pretty obvious. It was a hot topic on my XM radio.

I think fans of all ages know what to expect from players when they play. I'd prefer that the league not censor anything at all, but for the kids watching, I understand why they are choosing to do this

I don’t mind it, it’s just for viewing pleasure or viewing experience, they’re not trying to fool anyone as Vantel says, I think we all know there’s no fans

The consensus back in 2004 was that it was cheesy but now a days, everything is cheesy.

To me, it's very unusual. But I've watched a lot of baseball. There's so much missing right now.
Dale Hawerchuk back in hospital again fighting second round of cancer. - VANTEL
Such a terrible disease, once it's got you it's hard to get rid of it. My sisters husband had cancer, beat it, then ten years later he got it again, dead within six months...it was awful for her. It's been fifteen years since he passed but still think about him, good guy and he was only in his late 50's at the time.
