As long as all the Penguins make it out of the game unscathed I don't care who wins.

I was thinking just sit the big guns haha, however they need this game. Why did the NHL do this? They shouldn't have tried to put "rivals" against each other first game back. Let these guys just play some hockey instead of worrying about BS. We weren't the only two teams so I'm speaking for all the teams here.

Honestly, I don't think Sid and Geno need this game. I would sit them both. Like riding a bike for superstar vets.

I'd sit Jake too then. Those are our big three forwards.

From Doms piece at the Athletic on Marino...

This season featured a plethora of outstanding rookie defensemen, one of them being Pittsburgh’s John Marino, who was a defensive revelation for the team. He led the team’s regulars in expected goals percentage at 55 percent thanks to stellar chance suppression, allowing just 1.88 expected goals against per 60, which ranked fifth in the entire league. He’s got shutdown potential but is also adept with the puck posting strong entry and exit numbers. It’s only his first season, but it seems like big things are on the horizon for Marino. Marcus Pettersson isn’t as good as Marino, but he’s serviceable in his own right and can hold his own in the defensive end, a necessity for such a high octane team.

Yeah....probably. I could see the argument for Jake getting minutes because he missed so many games.

Sid with his injury (whatever it is). No brainer to sit him.

Sid has said preseason games help with his timing.

Usually the Pens use a full lineup the last couple preseason games, so I'd expect that tomorrow with the possible exception of Sid depending on his injury. Other than that though, this isn't a really physical Flyers team so I'd expect everyone to play and knock some rust off aa this game was included to do.

It would've been interesting if the NHL would have allowed all the players to dress for the exhibition game. Like they can dress different players different periods from the entire team.

I read that they go dress 13 F and 7D for the exhibition games. Obviously not he max players, but better than 12/6.

Hey dudes. Some of you might live around Gibsonia and noticed the sheetz that’s been completely demolished only to rebuild basically the exact same thing. I’m working there and we are working until 4-430ish. Anywhere you can stream this game for my commute back to the sticks?

You could always just tie a 60 inch TV with a gas-powered generator to your tool belt...that's what a real man who built this country with brawn and iron (i.e. Bill Cowher) would do.

Edit: WaWa > Sheetz

F'n game day, first real game action since March, and there's tumbleweed blowing around in this comment section.

Pretty please no one injured tonight. Other than that...win it too hehe.

I'd expect a very timid game from everyone. This is new for everybody, so I don't expect much physicality. I'd put money any injuries being due to not playing in months.

Yeah you're probably right. I dont think either team will want to start all of this off with a L though, especially not a bad one. Gonna want to build on a solid showing.

Hopefully someone pisses off Geno, Geno runs the goalie and it turns into a throwaway game from Rochester.

The tv broadcast is on NBCSN. If you have a cable subscription, just download the NBCSN app on your phone and sign in with your cable provider. It’s going to be a hell of a lot more smooth to go with a legal official stream on your phone than trying to do an illegal stream on your phone. Computers can handle that stuff no problem, but phones can be hit or miss.
